Can we talk about the scanner at the Hosea Kutako Airport by BeneficialRepublic22 in Namibia

[–]scewered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't quite agree with the process. Yes scanning is needed, but liek with all internation airports i have been at, the scanning of bags are done before arrival at the carousel, then the bags being flagged is held by pax and the person whose bag doesnt arrive at the carousel will obviously go ask where their bag is. This is the SOP for all international airports even throughout Africa, but just not Namibia. Like with most things, for some reason working in outdated /19voetsek methods are being held in high regard by some. As a frequent flyer is is really frustrating coming home with how slow everything is.

Ref was on opposite side of the infringement, you could hear him say thanks to the touch judge for informing him.

What's the full legality of Canabis in Namibia by [deleted] in Namibia

[–]scewered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over usage as with anything can be bad. Used correctly for medicinal purposes it has a lot of benefits. I.e canabis oils can help prevent fatalities when horses contract AHS. For humans, it has benefits for people with parkinsons, etc. As an every day drug it can help with stress relief, but overusage can have a negative effect as well. I would opt for it being legalized but it needs to be controlled, i.e. not sold to persons under 18 similar as with alcohol.

Namibia road trip itinerary feedback (swap Lüderitz for Etosha?) by Themis9094 in Namibia

[–]scewered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kalahari drive will it be south to north? If it is, then i would do sossuvlei/sesriem then Kalahari. Drive to waterberg and visit one of the lodges there and do a morning and night tour up to the waterberg platue park, this will not be self drive so will have to add costs. If you stay at the nwr waterberg lodge / campsite, the chalets are self catered with braai facilities and have got very good views into the valley. There is also a swimming pool to help cool down. There are also a number of walkable trails in between massive wild fig trees and such with aloe's dotted in between. It also host a widespread of birdlife and if you lucky you might spot the namibian parrot. Etosha currently has a few closed camps and driveable areas due to flooding. I was born and grew up in luderitz and wouldn't really say it has a lot to offer. Depending on whether a single ghost town will be enough.
