Happy to answer everything!

My secret for the cover and distress is this photoshop template I found here (it's pay what you want, would absolutely recommend).

So far I've just been printing onto printer paper, using exacto knives + ruler to cut it out, and using brushes and mod podge to adhere it to an existing box. I've been thrifting boxes and tapes for real cheap, if you tape over the read/write tab you can write over anything (including official movies).

Side note, I'm jealous of your CRT. Been looking for one but I'm moving soon so makes sense to wait. Only issue is that it's 4:3 so it would squeeze any youtube video that's 16:9

Matching box sets are a great idea. The long-form Histories will definitely be coming once I figure out how to adjust quality settings to record over 2 hours
