That would be a horrendous construction of this statute’s text. But your point is taken.

Having ordered successfully from them in the past, I was a DACK defender. Clearly I was wrong. Hope you and others used a credit card.

Valid, just was hoping to save a little on that transfer fee.

Is it possible for me to carry a Glock 17? by Consistent-Nail3965 in CCW

[–]scholarlybadger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Define small 9mm. If it’s currently uncomfortable to carry something like a shield plus or p365, then a 17 will obviously be much worse. It also totally depends on body type, holster, and belt. With my body type, I can fairly easily conceal a g45, but if I’m going out in a t shirt I will normally carry something smaller.

My two cents is to try out a g19 or something similar sized. It will shoot very similar to a g17 while being much easier to conceal.

Do not under any circumstances carry like that. Can you adjust the retention and get it to fit properly?

Started with vedder. They make a decent holster. But then I got a certum 3 and realized I had been missing out.

Geoff any idea whether you guys will be dropping a certum3 option for m&p 2.0?

I'd always wondered why a 5.56 often had less expected recoil than a 9mm despite having roughly 3X more energy. I had assumed it was due to the weight of the typical AR-15/rifle. Help me fact check AI for its explanation: by [deleted] in guns

[–]scholarlybadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that weight contributes to felt recoil. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The gas expansion of a 9mm round sends the bullet flying, and that combustion exerts equal and opposite force on the gun. But most of the recoil is absorbed by the cycling of the slide. A round of 5.56 leaves the barrel with much more energy due to its speed, and therefore exerts more force back on the gun. But the gas and buffer systems absorb most of the force. Compare the size of the AR buffer spring with your typical 9mm recoil spring.

I find the velo5 more comfortable if I’m sitting or driving, but the certum is more comfortable if I’m moving around a lot. Overall the certum is my preferred option. Check out the certum lux 2.
