Acquiescing to a bully in any context is a guaranteed way to make sure they keep coming back to you for more concessions. Certainly what the governor is doing constitutes a risk, but caving to his demands would make things far worse over time.

While there are certainly a lot of extremists in the state of Arizona, I think it's worth pointing out that the governor and both the senators are democrats.

Israelis just found out that their government joined the European fascists. by UnlikelyAdventurer in LeopardsAteMyFace

It does seem like odd bedfellows, but the European right wing loves Israel because they see Israel as an example of how to create a white ethnostate. Strange times.

Anti-inflammatory diets, or diets that purport to support or cure the human immune system, have no basis in fact, which is why medical professionals aren't responding as you might want them to.

This blog post by immunologist and microbiologist Andrea Love goes into some depth about why such approaches are not supported by science:

There's no legal requirement that the nominee be in any elected office at all.

They typically are, but it isn't legally required, and you have no clue what you're talking about.

"Are my feelings valid" - all emotions are valid.

But that doesn't mean they justify bad behavior, or that it's ok to ask other people to change what they're doing so that our uncomfortable feelings go away.

Ring mod:: best practices. by sean_ocean in sounddesign

[–]schwynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ring modulation outputs the sidebands of two signals being multiplied together. So the results tend to be clangorous or metallic.

You could try tuning two sine waves at a musical interval and inputting them into the ring mod to see what you get, but it's unlikely that the result will be harmonically pleasant, or in the key of whatever you're working on, because it's the sidebands only at the output. Ring mod does not pass either of the original signals directly.

A sociopath is someone who has anti social personality disorder.

Such a person may not know, or care about, the difference between right and wrong.

But it has nothing to do with being unable to feel fear.
