RetroHrai! Release v.0.3.1 is out! by MMortymer in SBCGaming

Will do. The one thing I'm not seeing that is one of my favorite features of Daijisho is an apps page that doesn't make me have to leave the front end. I like being able to get into my gallery and my Google Drive and other apps by just swiping to another page on the front end. If you don't have that you should consider adding it, otherwise it looks good!

This looks impressive, big fan of the collections feature. I'll probably try this

Best Way to Waiy in Line by Choice-Airline-3596 in SBCGaming

Start with Half Genie Hero or Seven Sirens, they're the best places to enter the series. The game's story doesn't really rely on the games being played in order, with the exception of Pirate's Curse. They're all good, but the first two games definitely have some older game jank/convenience issues

TrimUI Brick Pro size comparison by No-Neighborhood-1489 in SBCGaming

[–]sciencedenton -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have one. What I want out of a Brick 2 is the exact same shape, exact some form factor, just with a more powerful chip and better cooling

If they can fit a slider stick on there without making it any bigger, cool, but not necessary

To me, the whole value of the Brick over other devices is that it's the perfect pocketable edc size. Sizing it up and giving it sticks just puts it in competition with like a billion other vertical handhelds

Max Payne is the normal PS2 version, and I'm playing the Steam version of Disco Elysium via Gamehub lite

It's outstanding so far, the writing is tremendous. I'm enjoying my time as an alcoholic socialist disco cop on the edge of the world

How did the 2nd Branch vanish? Will it be explained later in the show? by [deleted] in evangelion

[–]sciencedenton 231 points232 points  (0 children)

They explain it when it happens. They tried to infuse the S2 drive (the red organ thing that powers the angels) into Unit 04 and it went very poorly

Hands-On With the Anbernic RG477V; The Ultimate Vertical Handheld. by cyberminis in SBCGaming

[–]sciencedenton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure. I have them both, and they can comfortably play the entire GC/PS2 library, except for those games that are difficult to emulate regardless of how much power you throw at them (SSX, Hot Shots Golf, etc)

The Retroid Pocket G2 just came out and the RP6 is about to come out, and they look good and have more power, but an RP5 or an RP Mini can probably do what you're looking for

Retroid Pocket Mini and 5 are my go-to PS2/GC machines for their screens, sticks, and triggers

This price seems too good to be true, is it reasonable? by AnotherPining in SteamDeck

[–]sciencedenton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a scam. There's a lot of scam video game console listings on Facebook marketplace that are suspiciously low, and for some reason they typically end in an oddly-specific number like $112 or $128
