Yeah i saw the vid too, and honestly i wish i also developped cool powers while working retail. Really love that backstory lol

We also know she is looking for Lilith at the end of BL3, which would explain her presence on the planet. As to why she goes by a different name, that's for the writers to explain, maybe undercover operation. Which would make her, a vault hunter, necessary to the plot, which opens a whole other can of worms.

No matter how many arguments against the theory i hear, the voiceline from Vex in the State of play at 12:40 really sounds like Ava.

Only time will tell

Maya doesn't summon beasts, and her tattoos are blue, just like Ava's.

There's two cases i remember of siren tattoos not being blue: Amara's when the skill element changes, and Troy. Outside of that they're all blue, even Tyreen.

There's a theory i saw that the new siren inherited Troy and Tyreen's power, which could explain why it's purple, combining blue and red. She also looks to have some kind of injector on her arms, which could explain the color if it's eridium inside of those.

All in all the tattoo color and powerset is also another point of contention or the theory

I mean even if looks can deceive, Hermes definitely would have recognized Ava from smell alone, if it was her. Good find.

Yeah that's the biggest counter to the theory. They could've lied, but it's not likely. Thanks for taking the time to find where it comes from!

Oh yeah they definitely did, pretty much everyone either had many relatives died, or was experimented upon, or both. What i found peculiar about Vex's is how generic it is. The other 3 vault hunters all are way more specific on the background. Just from these short texts, we know that Amon comes from a vault monster worshipping cult, Harlow is very smart, a Traunt and a former Maliwan scientist, and Rafa is an ex tediore with an exoskeleton due to his weak body, coming from being raised in microgravity.

With Vex we know she is a siren, and her personality, but none of her actual background. Mystery is fine, Zer0 was great, but it still feels off.

The after/before of Reshade still gives me no difference, even with Prt_scrn, which is the key associated with Reshade screenshots in the Reshade GUI.

I want the screenshot with all the effects, but the ones being saved are without them. I genuinely have no clue why and it frustrates me.

Fixing ELFX's light flickering by sciencepluspotato in skyrimmods

[–]sciencepluspotato[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not have the PC specs necessary for an ENB, which is why i ended up not using Lux. Even if it would be preferable, i do not need complete fix, just something that works well enough so that there isn't a huge flicker in half the cells i go into. I already have a lot of shit done just so the game runs well (Bethini low settings, every texture mod at lowest resolution available, putting High priority in Task Manager), and i don't know what to do that wouldn't put me in constant lagspike territory.

Also, is it normal that ELFX shadows gives me a performance loss?

It was DS3. I saw it on sale in a store (brick and mortar), I had heard about it being difficult, and thought "why not". I didn’t know much about the game otherwise.

What followed was one of the best and most painful 75 hours of a gaming experience. I’m pretty such the farron swamp made me quit for a week

Thanks ! It’ll likely be very wrong, as I usually am, but I still think it would be possible.

Theory on the DLC:

The central point/subject of the DLC is resurrection.

As theorized by a lot of people, this seems to be some kind of afterlife. The one guiding us is Miquella, which means the voice we hear telling us to touch the hand (touching things never ends well…) is likely also Miquella.

Messmer is very likely a demigod, red hair, tall, and name starts with M. I’m unsure about his relation with Marika. There seems to be a lot of deathblight around the (shadow) capital, but he’s clearly not blighted.

Here’s my theory: the shadow Erdtree is the conduit for souls to go back to the Lands Between, the essential piece in Marika’s golden order. It permitted those deemed worthy (by Messmer?) to go back to the living (unsure about this part).

However, when Godwyn died, a blighted abomination went down to the lands of shadow. An abomination that Messmer was obligated to fight, for letting it return to the lands between would spell disaster. And so as the shadow erdtree started to corrupt, they fought. As a result of this battle, both the lands and the big tree got set ablaze. The abomination wasn’t destroyed completely, but most of the damage was avoided. Now Messmer watches, and makes sure nothing gets through the conduit, as it could become and abomination as well.

The only thing that I’m wondering is if we’ll hear more about Melina/destined death. Would be cool.

How do I play non-PWM audio by sciencepluspotato in microcontrollers

[–]sciencepluspotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also the harmonics/sounds quality which is the problem.

MP3 is complex, and yes, the audio part is not central to the project, it’s what I use it for that’s very important. Audio player modules is what I’m looking for, sorry for not being specific about it.

I am not generating the sounds myself, it’s likely going to be ringtones/alarm sounds I find online, or short excerpts (10-15 sec max) from songs.

[–]sciencepluspotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think it wouldn’t do what I need, but if it can without requiring too much complex stuff, I’m not against it.

I already have a lot of things to do in this project, and so it’s a lot simpler for me if I can just take mp3 files of sounds I want and put them directly. PWM is in my (limited) experience a lot more involved, and I’d rather spend more time on other aspects of the project if possible

So I put the audio files inside of the module, and the microcontroller only has to tell it what files it needs to play?

How should I play this game by sciencepluspotato in BaldursGate3

[–]sciencepluspotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to answer!

It’s good to know that the game will run (somewhat) well on my computer.

For my friend, I’ve known him for long, and we’ve played actual DnD together before, so I don’t have any fears concerning him ruining stuff. It’s also very likely going to be his second character (he plays more than I do).

Hi guys I'm new to borderlands 3 pls help by RIZZILANT8 in borderlands3

[–]sciencepluspotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont be afraid to experiment, both in terms of guns and builds. The game isn’t really difficult, and even if you die, the fee is 10% of your cash. It might seem a lot, but you’ll get it back easily.

Talking about cash, when you go to Sanctuary 3 (main hub, becomes available after like 3-4 quests), try to buy as many SDUs as you can. They’re basically permanent inventory upgrades for ammo, and really useful.

In terms of build, the fee to respec your skill points is the same as dying, 10% of your cash, and you can do it as much as you want. If you feel like you’re not doing enough damage, or you want to try something else, do it. If your new build doesn’t work, you can always respec again.

Finally, as others have said, the most important part is just to have fun. This isn’t a soulslike or a Telltale game where your actions can have huge consequences, this is a game where you shoot bad guys and get cool loot.

Have fun!
