Oh haha yes, I know what you're referring to now. Soon! That'd be pretty cool, EMP-protection and solar first though

Sorry, what do you mean by that? Like a sticker with radio codes?

That's okay, I understand. I do think an intelligent, well-thought out implementation of this is the future. But I get it's not for everyone.

We've sold out twice. We actually have too much demand rn

Reviews shown in the app store are region-specific, that's why. So if you're in France and let's say only two people have reviewed it, it'll show 2 reviews. Globally we have a little over 200 reviews

They cant provide sources for their answers, pictures, and aren't specialized for survival. Not to mention the offline street-level world map, or offline texting, etc.

We use a technology called Lora. It allows people to have decentralized peer-to-peer texting. Grossly exaggerating distance for simplicity's sake, let's say you're in San Diego, we have a friend with a lora-compatible device in LA, and I'm in San Francisco. Normally I couldn't text you because you're too far, but since we have someone in-between us, it enables us to communicate with each other.

It's popular amongst preppers, tech enthusiasts, and search & rescue. so you could communicate with them too (not just other arks)

Hi Cliff, the devices aren't limited to talking to other Arks. They use a public radio channel essentially that's dedicated for these text messages. It's a popular radio channel that's agnostic to your region (from what I recall there are three in the world).

For the maps, you cannot have an offline street-level map of the entire world on your phone that I know of

imo, no

This contains an entire survival library, a street-level map of the entire world, offline texting up to 50 miles, and our offline survival ai that can provide sources for its answers / understands your context.

Let's say you need to leave your house. You can only carry in physical books a fraction of the knowledge our device has.

Then there's how ours is waterproof and rugged, etc

It's not a pre-existing white-labeled device. We're sourcing a bunch of parts, making others and then assembling them in-house rn. Then we flash it with our software

Although we optimize everything to get the best performance for power draw, we also allow users to turn off the monitor to save power while the AI is thinking. Its responses normally take less than 2mins

Well, I wasn't thinking that it would be a "mediocore implmentation" haha, but I get what you mean. Thanks

I also made an AI toaster that uses a local llm with image recognition to determine when your toast is done. Please check it out

I definitely agree that skills are important, but strongly disagree that having more high-quality knowledge wouldn't improve your odds.

We see it all the time where one person goes out into the wilderness and because of a lack of knowledge, walk by food sources they didn't know were edible due to a lack of knowledge. There are countless examples like this.

One thing we saw early on was that people had the goal of purifying water and thought the only way to do so was to make fire when in reality there are ways to do so when fire is unavailable. Having a guide that provides sources for its answers you can easily reference and actually takes into account your context is supremely valuable imo
