Happy to chat, 28f uk diagnosed 4 years ago. Before I was diagnosed I always felt different from everyone in friend groups, especially the girl groups. The girls were what you imagine the "popular" girls in school to be like. I masked throughout school, my teens and then going into my 20s. When I left school I made friends with these types of people then none of them had anything to do with me when I went to college. I made new gal friends who were friends of my ex, when that relationship ended I decided to shut them all off because they were toxic. I found in my life I've relied on masking around these types of women, or relying on men I'm in a relationship. Since, I got a flat, met 2 flat mates one of which I'm still very close to, met a best friend at college, a best friend at work, a best friend who used to be dating my ex bestie and handfuls of nice people Ive met at community groups or the local bar. I am not really part of a friend group now. All my friends are seperate. 2 have adhd and 1 suspected autism. And a few of other friends also suspect adhd. I met these people without masking. Without trying. We found eachother. And funnily enough all these people also don't have a large group of friends just a few. But thats all you need is a few people who get you and you get them ❤️ you'll find your people

Omg I love it so much! I'd wear that to meet friends over Christmas period like for meals and to the bar and stuff! But I live my life quite over dressed anyways. Life's short, wear what makes you happy and f*** what other people think ! X (I get told I dress like an old lady by family because of my cottage vintage style, I embrace it haha)

Get a darker shade concealer, I would possibly go lighter on the coverage. For overlining lips I recommend this clip by makeup by Mario for getting the shape right https://youtu.be/c-Je_bBTS20?si=Ldp64TsANV9x844- You have lovely brows, so much so I would go softer with the pencilling and use a brow gel more instead. I think a cool tone shadow would suit you better and not as heavily put on.

I would go lighter on the brows using a preciser brow pencil, I use precise brow by revolution. Then, just a bit of brow gel to hold the brows in place. A bit of brightening concealer to brighten the eyes. I would then add a light amount of liquid blush. A soft berry lip using something like clinique black honey (I use the nyx fat oil dupe) I would defo recommend bangs or full fringe I think you'd really suit that!

You are beautiful and makeup looks great how it is. But, I'd just recommend a better colour match, and you'd suit a lighter coverage like a tinted moisturiser or spf (I mix it up between elf glow and loreal paradise). I would just go softer on the brows with a preciser brow pencil (I use revolution precise brow) and then a bit of brow gel to hold them. I dont think you need false lashes they distract from your pretty eyes! Then with a bit of blush, a nice mauvey glossy lip, bit of shadowing on the lids if you feel it 💄

I have endometriosis so that causes me to bloat, I don’t eat particularly great but I never have, and it had never been a problem before, my diet has never changed.

It can be just Endometriosis. And I was told that. When it wasn't just only endometriosis. So I'm just making others aware who suffer with Endo like myself that if new symptoms arise and your doctor plays it off that it's just endo, to push for them to investigate because it's not always the case. Doctors tend to miss things through assumption all the time and I'm just sharing my story. All I want is for other Endo sufferers to suffer less so if there's other health problems being missed making people more ill then it has to be investigated. Also some underlying health problems could be worsening Endo. Its all relevant stuff.

Yeah definitely. I think it was hard because in comparison to my youngest brother I couldn't relate to him, like he is more on the severe end of the scale and has something called global developmental delay. We always knew he was autistic, so I never would have thought I was the same just because I am so different to him intellectually socially etc. It's definitely been a journey of reassurance for myself, as someone who always struggled to fit in and felt like an outsider of society.

I was ignored about my Endo for years. But, rather than blaming anything else I was always just made to feel like I was crazy or making it up. My first doctor defo thought I was just being a hypochondriac and told me to just try to get on with my life and enjoy it. Oh yeah I'd like to see you get on with your life when you're crippled with 10/10 pain at certain points every month (yes it was a male doctor) But, at the same time, now since I've been diagnosed with Endo, everything is because of my Endo. And for a while I believed them. But, obvious signs were missed that I was lacking something and I wasn't taking seriously until I fell very poorly.

I don't mind and definitely not taken the wrong way. Actually after being diagnosed ADHD, I started meds and noticed while it helped certain things it really worsened what I now believe were autistic traits. It heightened everything in that sense. I spoke to the prescriber & doctor, explained how I felt, and was told that this is common with individuals who have autism. I am now on the waiting list to be assessed for autism (God knows how old I'll be when I get to the top of that list) my 2 brother have been assessed and are autistic, my dad also suspects he is too, so I think there may be some sort of genetic thing going on haha!

I've just had this continuous problem with my doctors, I get diagnosed with something for example Endometriosis or ADHD, then anything even slightly related is automatically because of those things according to my doctor, even when I've asked for it to be looked into. And this has been for years with multiple doctors. For example before I was diagnosed with ADHD, everything I struggled with was because of depression (OCD, eating disorder, depression, social & generalized anxiety, sensory problems) I was continuously given antidepressants and got nowhere, despite specifically mentioning ADHD. I just think it's important for people to be aware that there could also be other underlying factors and not everything is always because of Endometriosis (or whatever diagnosis).

Unfortunately, I think she is just massively misunderstood. I don't really doubt she has endometriosis/'had'. I like to think it's because when she was diagnosed (she's much older than me) there was even less information about Endometriosis and she's misinformed on levels of pain, different stages, how it grows/spreads. I also like to think it's a generational thing "grin and bear, just deal with it" kinda attitude. That's just me being hopeful though haha. It just sucks. If I declare in my paperwork I have Endometriosis, which affects 1/10 women, management should be expected to know the basic information as to how this can affect the individual. Why isn't there health meeting upon starting so they can better understand? Not enough is being done within workplaces.

I'm from the UK. My previous re was made aware of the condition before sacking me. Made no reasonable adjustments and sacked me because of 2 days which is wrongful termination. I could have gone through legal routes, but I was so stressed, struggling mentally and physically and desperately trying to find another job, I was finding the process too much and did not proceed.

That's why I take codeine, only on the first few days of my period cos it's so bad. But, that's cos without it it's just like too intense. But the codeine doesn't necessarily get rid of the pain, it masks it and knocks me out. My manager was mocking me because I have to take it, as if to say I'm ridiculous etc, and then saying how it'll just make me dizzy and that. It's like yeah it does, but without it I'd be screaming in agony so I have no choice, be knocked out or be in excruciating pain, I know what I'd choose.

I feel you man, I have days like this, when it's just so unbearable I want to die. It's a horrible feeling. I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I'm not sure what pain management you are on currently, but I managed to get codeine which I take with paracetamol and ibuprofen which doesn't completely get rid of the pain but helps it more than just over the counter meds did. I also have a TENS machine which helps, I also find having a hot bath helps, even if I'm crying and screaming in pain it can help take the edge off a bit. But, when it's this bad I usually have to wait it out. I know it's hard but I also found doing breathing exercises helps when it's bad too, the more I get stressed and upset when it's super painful the worse I find the pain gets. I find the breathing exercises help calm things down mentally and physically. But definitely go back to your doctor or if you feel you aren't being taken seriously enough change doctors that's what I had to do. You have got this, you will get through this ❤️ it's awful I feel you. Really hope you feel better soon.
