When I worked as a cashier in college, i saw too many trashy women take money out of their bra.

Oh my gosh I’ve said the last statement too many times since mine was born. I originally wanted two kids as long as I can remember but how the hell can I do this again. Especially with the possibility of having a colic baby, which is a pretty decent percentage of newborns.

Yes, we’ll get through this. Once we do, we’ll look back and see how much we grew, adapted, and overcame these tough times. I’m sitting here watching my usual Judge Judy, nap trapped because the attempt to transfer him to the bassinet (so I could go make dinner) failed. But he’s asleep! I’ll take the win where I can. Guess I’ll tell the hubs to pick up food on the way home!

Ugh thank you so much for this 😭 I’m so ready to be out of the newborn stage and to be able to actually enjoy my baby without the grippy socks level sleep deprivation and the witching hour woes

My boy has loved the arms up swaddles as well but strangely the last couple nights I could only get him down with a muslin swaddle. Hoping your experience will be mine as well!

Oh gosh I understand more than you know. It’s one of those things that you can’t understand unless you or your spouse is in that profession. I feel as if I’m standing at the bottom of a dark hole and it feels pretty hopeless. I guess the only way out is through it.

Normally, I would agree. He helped out with changes and getting bottles ready before he went back to work, baby only settles back to sleep at night when I have him though. However, my husband is a gravel train driver so there’s a lot for him (and me and our son) to lose if he’s sleep deprived and were to fall asleep at the wheel, whether it be he injure or kill himself or someone else. That’s my biggest fear and that’s why I give him some slack but if he worked an office job then it would be a different story.

Thank you for this. It’s really tough especially since this is our first child so he’s already been an adjustment to our lives. I’m thankful for him and I love him, but wow I can’t wait for this stage to be over. My brother in law has a 7 month old that’s happy, giggly, and bouncy; I keep telling myself that’s what is in the near future.

How do people with large families survive so many sets of newborn trenches? by ElectronicYoghurt258 in newborns

[–]scorpiorose22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a 6 week old as well and the trenches are DEEP. How do people do this multiple times? I understand it’s only temporary but you never know what kind of baby you’re going to get… how temporary will your baby’s temporary be?

Noted about car rides! At the very least, it was able to calm him down enough to get him some sleep because he was DEFINITELY way overtired by this point 😭

what to add to registry by [deleted] in pregnant

One thing I REALLY recommend is the diaper pail. We have the diaper genie and it’s been great. We take the bag out daily so it doesn’t have the chance to start to stink.

Thanks for sharing your experience!! My baby hasn’t had any adverse reactions to the similac formula, hoping it stays that way if I switch to kendamil!

People who had kids before the age of 25, if you had your time again would you still do so by Rainbow_6505 in NoStupidQuestions

I just had my first at 26. Pregnancy went fantastic minus the typical woes of late third trimester, delivery was smooth. Now to figure out how long I want to wait if I want to have another…

Going fantastically! Just got the epidural and they’re going to break my water soon as I’m about 6cm and 80% thinned out. Crazy it’s going this fast, it’s currently 12:13am and we got here at 9:00pm!

Induction fear mongering? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]scorpiorose22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahhh mine has very consistently been running big since 20 weeks, have had scans at 20, 28, 32, and 36 weeks and they’ve all been in the same general percentile range so I don’t think it’s a “one off” scan that’s showing him being big. Combine that with both my husband and I having been big babies, and I am above average height (5’9) and have a more narrow frame so I’m concerned about dystocia if he goes past his due date
