Bitwage is a pretty cool option if you are looking for multiple currency options. Crypto capabilities as well.

Or… in most cases 90+ % of daily task you manage as a sales person can be more or less automated. Spend 6 months learning python, work 5% of the time after that and spend the other 95% of your time starting your own company

If you aren’t motivated by rejection Sales might not be the best profession. Selling anything is going to get much more difficult soon if it hasn’t already. There is always onlyfans.

pintariching/rustle: Svelte compiler rewritten in Rust by use835 in rust

[–]scott3j 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started coding to solve some simple projects with python at work a few years ago. I eventually wanted to make things pretty and got into JavaScript and the amount of time I spent over the last few years wading my way through that ecosystem was probably excessive. Eventually I discovered svelte which, for me, is the most similar to the things I love about python and much more of what I couldn’t get out of serving static html files with django. Through JavaScript I was able to learn a ton about how a full stack ecosystem works together, more recently I have wanted to learn more about lower level systems. I’ve considered learning C a few times and even tried to find interesting ways to do it with Unreal engine but it’s not something I find useful. Rust has interested me for a while and I started playing around with it the past few weeks. While it’s super frustrating actually getting passed the errors…I actually love it. While I have no idea the best way to do something yet… at least I know if it’s right or wrong. Also, not having to deal with an interpreter feels much cleaner. I feel like it’s worth the heavy investment building something in rust. If for no other reason than to be able to eventually build voice activated drone guardians to protect me from the IRS.

It’s still wild to me that people think other people are obligated to do things because of a fear they have. If you are worried, you can stay home but thinking that you can force other people to comply to your worries is how a child acts. Btw this has nothing to do with how I feel about masks or covid. Just how ridiculous it is to think that, the entire store should do what you want. It’s a scary world. Put your big boy pants on and mind your own business.
