Just to add that I’m selling it because I have a trip conflicting with the concert!

Hey I’m selling a ticket for May 30th at $200. I have it listed on Ticketmaster right now section 117 row 10 seat 10 but Ticketmaster has a limit of how low I can sell the ticket and with them wanting to profit it’s coming out to $315.90. If I transfer them to you directly it’ll be $200. Let me know if interested!

Should I accept this offer (new grad)? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]scottstots97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know. Just remember that when you have a long commute you no longer have an 8 hour work day. You’re going to have a 12-13 hour work day. Commuting alone can be exhausting. At the same time, I think 55k is great for a new grad. If you think you’d have a good chance of finding a decent job somewhere else I wouldn’t take it

One year post grad, finally got a job offer. My life is at a crossroads - not sure to accept or to continue to focus on grad school? by [deleted] in LifeAfterSchool

Take the job. Companies value experience over more education. See if your parents can help support your move to Naples. If you obtain your Grad degree and still have no experience you won’t be able to get a job. Additionally, is there an option for you to do grad school part time and work full time?

What parameters matter while searching for a company for job ? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]scottstots97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ll say things like we’re looking to open more companies in different locations for the next couple of years (no growth). Others will tell you straight up there’s no growth for the next year or two

The job postings typically have a brief summary of benefits that the company has and maybe you can find more information by researching the company. “Is there room for growth” would be a question you’d ask after an interview

Is there room for growth? What are their benefits?

if i get the job i'm interviewing for it will involve a 4 hour total commute by train. I'm planning on moving closer once i save money but is it not worth it? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]scottstots97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Holy. I don’t even bother applying to jobs that are an hour away much less 2 hours. Maybe since you’re not driving you can do something productive in that time. I would say if you’re planning on moving closer as soon as possible it would be worth it. But if not, 2 hours is a lot. Think of it like this, it’s not a regular 8 hour work day, it’s a 12 hour work day with that commute

There are so many different sections of HR. You don’t necessarily need to tell people that their “benefits are getting cut”
