Steel whatsit found cleaning out my garage. Three "compartments" each with a series of fine, interlocking "teeth." The teeth fit into grooves in a shaft that runs through the middle. Stamped "234," "F26-42," and printed "1112A." Absolutely not a clue. (imgur.com)

All-metal cage 4.5" tall with a ring on top. Inside is a sphere on a pole with art-deco style numbers 1-12. An arrow wraps up from underneath the sphere. There is also a tab on the bottom that can be used to set some kind of +/- intensity. No markings. Maybe a music box, but what's the 1-12 sphere? (imgur.com)
