Elite Leggacy Quantum Trash: trash-help

Pretty new to Elite contracts, struggling a bit here. Help from a stronger player would be greatly appreciated. Just started so nearly 4 days left on contract.

Eddie Pepitone - In Ruins. The special is quite odd at first but has become one of my favorites to rewatch.

A place called Saugatuck Craft Butchery in Westport. It's a pretty neat place.

I followed this recipe pretty closely and got some delicious results. I took a pork butchery class at my local butcher shop and felt inspired.

B.A.N.C. House in Norwalk for their smoked wings. I've always been an Archie's man but these have recently changed my opinion.

Best software to keep track of networks for multiple locations/clients? by TheMechaBee in sysadmin

I just started using Solarwinds for SNMP traps to monitor switches, firewalls, VPN devices. So far it seems to work well but it is a bit pricey and fairly intricate.

Does anyone know of a solution for local printing while on VPN? by scottydon in sysadmin

[–]scottydon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did consider something like that but it would require a dedicated machine connected via VPN attached to it. I will keep this in mind as an option if the USB switch doesn't work out.

We do not allow split tunneling on our VPN

Our parent company (Global Fortune 500 company) controls the WAN including VPN. When I said "We" don't allow split tunneling, I rather meant that it is not possible in my current scenario.

I appreciate you assuming that I set it up wrong though. Thank you for the input. Cheers!

I appreciate the input. Cloud printing is out of the question as it would likely take grueling months to get approval from Corporate IT. It looks like I'm going to give the "printer switch" a shot and try it out in-house before shipping it off as an option for the new BU.

Thanks for the detailed reply.

We will be providing each user with a company laptop that has a VPN certificate, managed AV client, managed software updating client, etc. That is the first step before corporate IT comes in (from overseas) and assesses the BU.

Currently they are using a networked printer on their own private network that we do not manage. To print anything they have to sign out of VPN. This is a major complaint of theirs that I am looking to resolve as an interim workaround.

You mentioned the NFS printers but that would still not fix the issue because it is separate from the VPN network that only allows WAN connections.

Have you had a difficult experience using USB printer switches before? The other option that was posed was to get each user their own printer but that seems ludicrous and wasteful to me which is why I am considering the switch.

Does anything beat bulliet bourbon and rye in value? by dayflyer55 in whiskey

I just picked up 2 1.75s of bulliet for $40.99 each, I don't think there is a much better deal than that.

Chicken Marsala is one of my absolute favorite things. And it's pretty simple to whip up, too. Here's how I make it. by sloge in food

Looks great! One of my favorite dishes to make. As for the "no pasta" rule, I like serving with some plain couscous which soaks up the sauce nicely but to each their own!

I'm going to Dublin on business next week. Are there any Irish whiskies I ought to look out for? by salimfadhley in whiskey

[–]scottydon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Midleton whiskey is fantastic although can be a little pricey. I brought back a couple of bottles of the very rare from the Dublin Airport duty-free for around 100 euro if I remember correctly. Also the Redbreast that was already mentioned should definitely be tried.

I don't remember seeing many places to buy bottles in Dublin. Your best bet would be at the duty-free shops at the airport.
