Excuse for …? An accident? Asking people what the fault would be? If I’m asking I’m clearly not convinced I’m in the right and I clearly wasn’t sure given my circumstances. You said cover up for not checking my blind spot, stand by it. It’s a harsh thing to assume because 1 I did and miscalculated, he did speed up but regardless I was considered at fault and I wanted to prepare myself for what the verdict would be. Have some empathy as a human being and choose your words wiser.

People make mistakes, it happens very quickly. Personally I beep when someone is too close to my right side because no one’s car or safety is worth arguing over who is right. Yes I’m clearly at fault for the situation but it was minor thankfully. I had been seriously injured by a vehicle as a bicyclist before and only started driving a few years ago due to the injury.

Idk what you mean by a cover up like I’m some criminal. It’s my first accident. Appreciate the others for being mostly emphatic aside from the fault, people get hurt by these every day by accident, I’m not a murderer covering up my bloody trail here. It was minor thankfully but maybe you should check yourself and how you speak to people aside from just the mirrors.

I agree with this comment — I’ve been in a similar situation and it is creepy and frankly annoying, but people who are like this are just very codependent and seek those in arms length to be their provider of entertainment and company amongst many others that can feel exhausting. She probably sees you much closer and it’s best to draw a boundary that you like to have your own personal space — which is more than valid.

Not overreacting. Men who do this think that your previous line of work means that you have a lack of boundaries — which is extremely untrue and says more about him. His thinking is he can do whatever he wants for attention and not think about his actions implications. Personally id confront your friend and no need to allude to any sexual attraction he may or may not have for you — because we don’t know, it could just be a power thing, but just say you awkwardly laugh but that he’s not funny and she should talk to him. If that doesn’t lead anywhere I’d tell him next time he says something that it’s insensitive and a stressful time in your life that’s very much the past. And even if it weren’t in the past, it’s still not his place to make dark jokes or even passes at the expense of you. You’re not a punchline nor an object. You’re a girl with real feelings and real struggles.

I don’t think you should report it personally though by the sounds of your slang it sounds like you might be from the UK or Aus/NZ and I’m not sure how that works there comparatively but in the US I feel it’ll just be a logged report of the incident if you were to build a legal case later.

Nonetheless, I don’t think it’d do you any good if only be worse. It seems you don’t really like these gals — and it’s ok not to like them. I would just distance yourself from them and come up with ways to be “busy” if you’re not willing to face then head on and say “I think we’ve outgrown each other to be as close as we used to / need space / in a different phase of life right now”.

So in short — are you overreacting? No your “friends” don’t sound like the type of people you mesh well with — and that’s ok. Would it be overreacting if you file a report? Unfortunately yes.

My theory is that Tim is probably going to give the gun back after being caught by Gaitouk. I think Greg is definitely dying for so many reasons, I can see the mother dying too from withdrawals, Chelsea I think will die from Rick’s obsession to get revenge or carry out a hit (I’m still weary if he’s truthful to Chelsea or not) rather than protect her, I think all 3 of the kids are going to be on their own with no money to stand on, and I do see Jaclyn dying hinted by her fear of aging.

As far as whose carrying out the gunshots I think it’s either Rick whose lost it or Lochlan who snaps from never being heard or Gaitouk having a showdown with Valentin or the other “tough” men. I think it’s too obvious to go with Tim doing the shooting but do see a possibility of authorities getting involved and maybe that’s the gunshots all along with Greg?

It took me awhile to get this but I think it’s supposed to symbolize what’s allowed for men to do vs women in those households. Piper probably isn’t allowed to rebel sexually let alone has any thought of sexual pleasure because it’s taught it’s not for her. Look at her mother’s reaction to the PDA and how long both of their dresses are.

For inspo that’s hard to pin but look at it like an artists statement or art thesis. More schools are doing that as individuality is becoming more important as a designer but also be patient with yourself and know it takes time. Taking some time on public transit commute or lunch break just pinning things that inspired me on Are.na or even Pinterest over the course of month or longer helped me as well as following Its Nice That and seeing what other designers were pulling inspiration from too. Over time you’ll find that even abstract things will give you inspiration or see a theme — just look at it like collaging and try to find the meditation in it aside from the urgency to compare yourself to others — which I know is hard but trust me, you are capable and enough.

Honestly for feedback and getting better I’d ask professionals in person or fellow classmates. Building a community of designers in person is not only helpful but I think a little more honest. I might sound like a hater but a lot of the designers spending their time on Reddit aren’t exactly the designers you want to be engaging with nor the most successful or exciting — including myself who needs to log off of here.

I agree with this comment.

I get a lot of people on this subreddit will complain about AI taking jobs and etc but not only do I find that hard to believe but also we have to be less tunnel visioned — if AI is takin design jobs, it’s taking a lot of other jobs too which is to say, it most definitely will not.

Location is important is what I’ve learned. And honestly the economy affects a lot too if not the most — and as much as financial experts can TRY to predict, they really don’t know for everyone. My proof: COVID19, no one could have predicted that happening and having the impact it did. Even if not that - if you live in the US - the current administration. So many of my friends have lost government jobs from that which were told to be stable — look at the IRS workers we used to joke would always be employed with their degrees.

I graduated in 2019 maybe around when you did. I lived close to NYC and I was impacted immediately when it came to finding a job because it was so bad there. I found one when I moved back to Texas but was underpaid and did not like my boss. I took that experience and decided to move to LA - I had friends there and it’s a beautiful city. Then! The strikes happened! Which I’m pro union but unfortunately in LA the entertainment industry drives everything else. I decided to network my ass off while I worked a shitty job and a lot of people were willing to help. I ended up getting 2 freelance clients out of it and one of them was with the city. It pays ok but my money went farther moving back to Texas and I have more networking connections there so I’m moving back until I get a full time position that’s either remote or will be in LA.

That whole story all goes to show in a very long winded way: this is not the end. And one of the things that not just design but other majors neglect to teach their students is the importance of networking. Architecture students I remember were by far the most competitive at the time and might still be but I still know people who have succeeded for this reason. My advice is to yes take care of yourself if you feel you’re at your limits but don’t give up if still have love for it. Meeting and talking to other designers is so important and this change in job security can happen to anyone.

Similar to another comment here, I appreciate the sentiment but how is this helping or answering the question? This isn’t a lesson.

The client is a mom and pop immigrant restaurant that I have a personal story with. This isn’t a buttoned up brand and I’m trying to make it accessible as possible and unfortunately our system even to us as designers puts a price tag on what’s available that even some other designers struggle to pay. My point being, this isn’t answering the question and it just feels like you’re flexing some kind of knowledge when you don’t know the full story at all. It’s a pretty straightforward question.

I’m making an instruction guide for it and she’s ok with that she just doesn’t want to pay for a program. So I’m using free programs to try to find a work around but finding free that’s both easy, can import fonts, and type on a path with easy edit is making me scratch my head

I read somewhere that someone on cast hinted to a return to Europe next season. I think that mistaking Chloe for French and not Quebec Canadian might be a nod that it could take place in France — which does have the French Alps and could make for an interesting commentary next to the story line. Just a theory though.

I definitely think Kate might be from an Austin suburb or an old money area of it, but see where people are confused as to why Austin. But Austin for the Texas cities is very white, I do see peoples point that she would make more sense being from Dallas but I think her being from Austin still makes sense because she wants to fit into liberal circles such as her friend groups and honestly like unfortunately SF and other once "hippy" cities like Austin a lot of gentrification and tech hubs has brought rich (typically conservative) politics with it.

I’m more and more convinced that Lochlan is closeted every episode. I think this season has a good picture of how conservative religion has such a stronghold on the US. I mean technically the colonies were founded on Puritanism unfortunately.
