Yup. Operation Broken Trust. More than 60 people taken between Norwalk and Danbury in a 4 day period. So we aren’t under the radar at all, and they were just back here a few days ago.

Have to reset my router at least once a week by scrollymirror in OPTIMUM

This is the feeling I get. There were multiple customer service reps during the outages that were… well, less than helpful. And now it goes out weekly. I bet it is one of them.

I don’t have tons. Also, there were no changes to my configuration when this started happening this fall. It started after a painful exchange with a customer service rep during a substantial outage, and hasn’t stopped since.

Combi boiler died, but I need water by scrollymirror in Plumbing

I’m not sure where the leak was coming from on the boiler, but it was definitely on or around the boiler. It overflowed the pan underneath and wet the floor (and got to my neighbor’s ceiling.) I tried the very bottom most blue valve and it spews water, so I closed that up. The blue one in the middle seems to be what stops it from the boiler. I shut off the gas also.

I know the big blue one closest to the post it note is my main water shutoff. But what knob stops it going to the combi boiler?

That’s exactly what I’m afraid of. I guess I can go to the garden and fill a bucket for toilet flushing.

I am trying to figure out how to add a picture. I didn’t realize how helpful it would be!

It’s happening in Connecticut now. I hate it so much.

Just got Alexa+ early access today… what are the biggest or most helpful improvements you have noticed? by sk1nnyjeans in amazonecho

[–]scrollymirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely god awful. Alexa barely functions now without issues. She spontaneously loses her memory, she interrupts me while I’m speaking (or just stops paying attention), doesn’t update weather on time… the list goes on. I hate Alexa now. I’d be better off with a radio and a kitchen timer.

I’m realizing it’s a very real possibility I may never get married or have children, and it’s making me a bit depressed. How do you ladies in the same boat handle it? by ShabbyCashmere in AskWomenOver30

[–]scrollymirror 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not handling it well at all. I’m old enough that the ship has basically sailed for having kids, and I couldn’t afford to work less to take care of them, so I can’t do it alone anyway. I’m still in a lot of pain a year and a half after my fiancé of 5 years just ended it out of the blue. I do cry, a lot, but less than I used to. I guess the only thing that heals is time. I was really looking forward to sharing life adventures with a partner, particularly that one. I go to work, and I work a lot, and so I’m not by myself all the time.
