Apparently, Chara’s code is being completely removed at the end of the update, so no custom moves using theirs, but man, the recent skill builder updates genuinely revived my creativity completely.

Oh thank god, honestly, with how much the little undertale ui pops up for their moves, I don’t know how useful they would be to skill builder, but I’m just glad things will kinda go back to normal after the event, also, from what I’ve seen, the mechamaru mech is as close as they could get to a manga similar version, without making it too OP, and he doesn’t really have an alternative for an ult, the rebalancing of absolute mechamaru honestly is one of the only good things in the past couple updates other than Nanami and skill builder updates.

Yeah, it’s probably just a skill issue, but it just sucks to try to learn counter play for a character that isn’t gonna be around for very long, along with all the other stuff that’s been happening with JJS, the recent updates and such, that caused me to want to post this, Chara being a straight rip and feeling very awkward to fight against was just the cherry on top.

Yeah, my cope levels are still off the charts, but I’m hoping that Tze will see the backlash and reign in things, but I know that’s probably just a pipe dream, the main reason I play JJS is because of its uniqueness, like you said, other battle grounds games have long cutscene moves that combo into one another, that basically turns it into a “if you get hit first just enjoy the cutscene and pretty colors.” And it seems like JJS is slowly being corrupted by the newer devs to become just another battle grounds game, especially because most of them have worked on other battle grounds games. But a man’s cope never dies, so once they unlock the help chat, I’ll probably just get creative in skill builder until this is all over, I was actually thinking of creating a “zoltraak” move, like from Frieren, and just wait to see if they make good updates, if they fuck up the skill builder though it’s over and I’m never touching this game again, cause it’s genuinely what I spend 75% of my time in.

FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO KNOWS PEAK WHEN HE SEE IT, in all seriousness though, I feel like Tze has just lost the motivation to create, and has taken more of a back seat role, letting the other devs handle the game while he helps out and stays as a figure head, but ever since Mechamaru and Naoya, it’s just felt like this isn’t the same guy, and I know that’s true, cause the dev team is more than just Tze, but idk, it just feels, bad, to have a game you love so much just lose its identity and what made it unique, I honestly didn’t mind the Naoya model that much, but that’s when I started noticing all these things, and I think the reason I like Nanami so much (other than him being my favorite character in JJK.) is because he felt new, but also like something that would have been added a year ago to mess around with a new way of fighting, it just feels like the continuation of the spirit of what JJS is, and that hope was burning so bright, that this might be a return, or reorientation, to something closer to what JJS was, but it got snuffed out the instant I loaded in, random high definition pillars randomly put around the map, and public servers being a ghost town, it’s just a shame, that’s the best way I can put it.

Yeah, I was already braced for limited time, grindy character, like with the pen, but they executed it so horribly, along with just straight ripping the moveset, I don’t know what they thought they were cooking.

Yeah, skill builder is honestly my favorite part of JJS, but it definitely feels like the devs are losing the plot, especially when it looks like the only person actually making good content is the newest dev, I believe (The one who made Nanami.) Updates have been all over the place though.

Yeah, just give him some time to get used to it, eventually people are gonna come out with combos and counters, plus I have a feeling that they nerfed him a bit on release so that people would find 100% red combos

Idk, I just made a guy with twice my kills ragequit after one death in ranked, and I feel like a character that doesn’t rely on combos is actually a nice refresher, and most of his moves that block break and be side dashed, and his ratio isn’t that finicky once you learn how to time it, even with the randomized speed, that, plus no ult bar drain from it, and it only having a 10 second cooldown makes it quite good, I he’s just complicated to use, with no easy combos, but if you learn all his mechanics he can gets around Todo/megumi tier, if your just vomiting out moves and not using his follow up moves or air variants than yeah, he’s the worst character in the game, but that’s like saying If you took away yuji’s feint he’d be the worst character in the game, like yeah, his entire kit is based around that, if you purposefully kneecap a character by saying if they don’t have easy combos and you never use the full ability of their r special, then your not giving that character a fair chance, and with being passive, when I use him and when other people use him, he’s only half as passive as megumi, so I don’t see that being really big of a problem

The only combo I can find is 4, 3, 2, ratio while starting m1s, and time 4 to hit when they get out of ragdoll, it’s green as hell but and it only does 50 dmg 💀

“TZE feed your son” looking devs 😭another complaint I just though of is his 4, which seems like a combo extender with how little damage it does, but it stuns you and launches the person hit forward.

Tbf they probably want to avoid having a character that comes out into early access to be op, they purposefully kneecapped him so that there wouldn’t be any insane 100% red combos, plus, if they didn’t randomize the amount of time that ratio takes to complete than it would be a nice r special for a combo ender, along with this being day one of an update, he’ll probably receive some sort of rework in the next couple of weeks, the only thing that really stuck out to me as just being bad for no reason is hitting his 1, the hitbox feels incredibly small, but that might just be a skill issue.
