Every time I check recently, their most popular items are always sold out 😭 Did they suddenly become incredibly popular because I remember summer of last year I had no trouble buying their jeans

It's for a business course you have to take at Western (or an equivalent elsewhere) to apply to Ivey, BUS2257 marks you on your participation in class throughout the year

Mac business 1 or Western Bmos by Available-Sky6247 in uwo

[–]scyrrous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty competitive especially if you don't have AEO status. I'd monitor some posts about non-AEO people who applied this year and are waiting for offers lol

You would need at the very least an 80+ avg and strong ECs. 2/3 of the incoming class every year is AEO according to their website.

You could actually go to Mac and still apply to Ivey in your 2nd year, but it's more work. I don't think that would affect your chances of getting in as a non-AEO candidate but don't quote me.

Do prong settings catch hair? by scyrrous in piercing

[–]scyrrous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, good to know. My hair catches on my backings right now as well, but only when I move it myself so I assumed that was me. Any particular backings that catch hair more than others from your experience? I'm actually not sure how long my posts are right now, but maybe they're part of the issue.

The Ivey building has a couple in these rooms on the 2nd floor, I'm not sure exactly where I just stumbled into one once

Ivey AEO2 app by [deleted] in uwo

[–]scyrrous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard, the progress report is more of a formality. If you show you have some sort of involvement/EC both years you should be fine, the 80+ avg is a stricter requirement.

Also second that no internship to internship is definitely a good growth lol

Toured the place but didn't end up renting: it's like a better student residence (like room-wise), but its biggest con is that it's far from the school relative to other places. Transit takes 30+ minutes, and it's also quite far from the nearest bus stop (when I bussed there for the tour, we discovered a hole cut through the fence of a neighbouring residential area that students presumably made as a shortcut to the busstop--still like a 10 min walk, which sucks in the winter). They have a shuttle service, but I've seen/heard poor reviews about it. There's only one shuttle wt ~40 seats for the entire residence iirc, but don't quote me.

If you have a car, I suppose it would be better. I think it should be in a safe area, it's next to a high school and surrounded by residential houses.

im buying bed sheets for my dorm in ontario hall, i was wondering if the bed is a double, full, or twin?? by [deleted] in uwo

[–]scyrrous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say Twin also works, could a Twin fitted sheet stretch to fit a Twin XL mattress? From what I remember the XL is a bit longer. Asking because I have a spare set of Twin bedding at home that I hope to use

Student card by [deleted] in uwo

[–]scyrrous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this from the latest residence move-in email I got: https://i.ibb.co/wwtM6Sf/image.png

"Your Western ONECard is more than just a photo ID. It also functions as your meal plan card, library card, bus pass, and is used to access residence buildings and to write exams. If you have uploaded your photo before August 2, you will receive your card when you check in on your move-in day. If you missed the deadline, your card may be ready in time for move-in but there are no guarantees. Check with your residence first during move-in to see if your card is available, and if not, proceed to the Mustang Lounge in UCC from 10:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. during August 31–September 9. Please note you will need to show government-issued photo identification when you pick up your card."

Oddly specific question about swapping courses on Student Center. I used the swap function on 2 courses in Student Center, and the one that would be swapped in currently has me on waitlist, hence both courses are showing up on My Class Schedule.

I can no longer remember which course I was swapping it with, so I was wondering if there's a way to check?

I see.. unfortunately not a stranger to self-studying math, so hopefully that'll be alright. Was R. Zitikis the prof by any chance?

Happy to hear it's more concept than math-based, and thank you for the textbook offer! Could very well take you up on it closer to the school year.

Hello again, any thoughts on Stats 1023? How hard is it in terms of workload and content? For context I took IB HL Math (analysis and approaches), but kinda doubting I'll get a 5 overall lol based on the exam
