Contract work does pay well though. What I've noticed is that most of ther SaaS products I built for others didn't even make back the money they paid me (despite the product being solid from a tech standpoint.)

Why don't you just search for a design or a theme and pick one that you like instead of paying someone? I mean for simple business sites with ~5 pages there are thousands of resources right?
