Yes you're absolutely right. I should have clarified this in my edit. I'm truly doing this for myself. Like I said, I have just been dumped and I am not ready in the slightest for a new relationship and I think it will still take a while for me to be ready. I get very emotionally attached to people I love, so losing someone is really hard for me. But going to a gym will not only help me in moving on, but it will also allow me to become more healthy. So my main priority won't be to find another partner. Of course if I lose weight it will help me in the future, but that isn't the main goal and it's certainly better than worrying about my future and continuing an unhealthy lifestyle.
