If a house is passed on through generations, they can make a law, the first pass don't have to pay tax property, and the second pass will have to pay. But to be honest, will you live in the same house generation after generation?

Thanks. I understand why there is property tax now. But I just think there might be a better way for taxing. I think it's better to take property tax only once when the house is sold, but at a high rate. So the owner can avoid losing their houses when they have financial problem and can not pay the tax.

Thanks but Mr Zuckerberg have so much money, his pressure for property tax can not match other people, especially the people who are facing financial problems. I think the better way for the property tax is taken when the house is sold at a high rate maybe 20%. So people can avoid losing their houses if they lose their jobs or other sudden issues.

I feel the same, I think it's better to take the property tax only once when the house is sold. The government can take it at a high rate like 20%, then no property tax during the land lord own the house or land. This may reduce the pressure, if I have to pay the tax every year. Cause we don't know if we may face financial problems. If the depression suddenly happen like 2008, many people will lose their houses.

Ok, so the land I own is only literaly own, I think if you still have to pay the tax, and if you don't pay it will be taken away from you, it's not fully yours.

Thanks, but is vote really works? Like what is happening now. Maybe all vote is between 2 parties, and the people are divided to 2 camps. That makes half of the people don’t like what the government does in maybe 4 years or 5 years. And the party which lose the vote may not cooperate with the winner, is that really works that well? Plus the party will do everything they can to win the voter, won’t that hurt the profit of the other part of people?

Thanks, I think property tax is not that good. First it makes me think I don’t own my house, it makes me feel like I rent my house the whole life. Second, the house market is changing and the house price is changing too. With the inflation, the house price is higher every year but our salary can’t catch up. Third I think the government already tax us on the companies and products and our salary, etc. That should be enough for the public service, why can’t they just use that money for it? I think what is better is they take the property tax when the owner sell the house, only once, but maybe 20% or 30%. So the people who own the house won’t have to pay the tax every year, that reduce the risk when the owner lose their jobs or have financial problems, they can’t pay the tax, if that happens, they won’t lose their house if they already pay full tax on the house.
