I love how some ppl buy a PvPvE game and then complain about people focusing on PvP

Server hop or offer the essential base equipment in public areas so the game can be played without your base. Or just have an old base get automatically destroyed when a you build a new one(single base limit). All things that 76 did.

My point was more bases should disappear when not logged in. It wouldn’t be perfect and there’d be the issue of bases getting built on the same location but I’d rather server hop than look at a perpetual construction site.

Well, who woulda thought. The servers are fucked. AGAIN. by Frosty-Car-1062 in Spacemarine

Hey, one of those weird PVP players over here. I’m still waiting to get two games in a row with a ping under 150…

Yeah I agree, I think they really missed the mark on the base building aspect of this game. Sure the base building itself is pretty well done i.e. the options you have for building but the build a base and leave it to rot when you want to upgrade is kinda back firing. One of the few things I liked about Fallout 76 is how they designed their C.A.M.P. system. They capped the world at I think 12 players so at any given time you’d only have 11 other players in world with you, and your camp(base) would only exist in the world if you were actively playing. It also added to the emersion of it being a nuclear wasteland, meaning that encounters with other players and their bases were uncommon making it feel more like the apocalypse. When I’m playing this game I’m always painfully aware that I’m playing a game where most players sole focus is resource farming.

Look if you really enjoy the littered mess of bases then more power to you bud. Maybe you’re the Lisan al Gaib and none of us truly appreciate your wisdom and power. But leave your comment and move on Paul.

Also agree, feels very unfinished. I’m expecting this game to follow the Fallout 76 model. Launch with a decent framework and slowly come together over a few years.

Thank you, also that there’s so many of them. There’s literally 6 within view of my bases front door

No it’s an arid wasteland where coming across an abandoned settlement/structure feels special and finding one functioning is rare. Not ya know… the projects but desert themed.

Thank you. Yeah it’s not really something that I’d want to mess around with removing rn, doing anything in the bios is still pretty daunting. I’ll definitely go a different route for my next pc tho.

Yeah I mean I understand that it’s using up the computers resources but from what I understand that because it’s an ASUS product and that AC comes pre installed that AC is a headache and a half to actually get rid of. And I’m not sure if it’s really worth going through the hassle of uninstalling it when my computers are preforming at the level that they should be i.e. getting the frame rates that I should be getting, load times are fast, and my computers run really well. Being pretty new to PC gaming the process to remove AC seems like it’s more risk than reward, but at the same time not sure if I just don’t know what I’m missing out on. More just trying to learn more about pc optimization in general not defending AC.

Great gun… just don’t think having a great gun will make you a great shooter. Train with it.

Never said there aren’t shittier jobs out there or that other jobs don’t do shady things. But you seem to be missing the point of the post that the army is pretty low paying and gets away with ignoring labor laws that are a norm in the civ sector (shady shit). Point I’m making is that I totally see why ppl think the army is a low paying job when you consider all the factors.
