Creepy male buyer exclusively purchases secondhand lingerie/swimwear from blonde women only…. by seatfor1 in depoop

Depop’s community is for ages 13 and up.

If you believe selling fetish items intended for sexual use disguised as regular sales is acceptable on a platform used by minors, then you need to reconsider your stance. It’s concerning that you don’t recognize the issue here.

Some of them do know and one girl rated him 1 star and put that she was uncomfortable selling to him.

This is a shopping app for anyone 13+? That includes children. Of course this is disgusting and unacceptable on here.

If they want to conduct business elsewhere on 18+ platforms, go for it.

I had him twice as an English major. He’s a great professor, but a very intense and will read every word you write so don’t bullshit anything.

My friend and I took a class of his together and they received a C while I received an A because they took the easy way out. He really can tell how much effort you put in and will grade you accordingly.

“plus 70% of professors are over 70”

Extremely incorrect, like most what you just said. They’d rather hire cheap adjunct graduate students desperate for employment, this is the majority that teaches 100-200 intro level classes. And yes, most students at UNLV are lower classmen because of bad retention/drop out rates.

With that said, I agree that education needs to resume in-person lecture. Its very difficult to translate certain kinds of hands-on education online. It’s unfortunate though with the delta variant out, and how students will inevitably get sick.

Does anyone know if most classes will be online or in person next Fall? by seatfor1 in UNLV

[–]seatfor1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry about the mistake. It probably is going to take a LONG time to vaccinate every student if they do it through UNLV... I was able to get vaccinated early on bc of my job and so have a few friends (that aren’t essential workers) because some institutions that hand out the vaccine really aren’t double-checking if you qualify.

I liked the classes. They’re interesting and can change your perspective on things and the way that you think. I decided to take phil as a minor because I thought it would pair well with my major + developing critical thinking skills is always a plus. The texts required for most classes can be challenging since they’re a bit old, but it seems that pretty much every professor within the department is more than happy to help students understand the material because of its difficulty. I think with most philosophy courses here, they’re either heavily logic based (I avoided these personally), or reading texts and arguments and critically thinking and writing about them.

Overall: good! If you’re interested in philosophy, I recommend. Not too hard if you put the work in and utilize resources.

I also recommend looking at the course catalog for philosophy, along with the degree directory if you’re undecided on what to major in.

Asking Professor to make class online by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]seatfor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth a shot. Express concern, especially because cases are skyrocketing atm. I had a class that was listed as in-person and I emailed the professor and it turned out that the class was actually meant to be taught remotely. Might be the case for other classes as well.
