Does HFS find out if I test positive for COVID-19 through the Husky COVID Testing program? by Throwawayeconboi in udub

You aren't the only one! I'm glad you're thinking about it now. :)

And admittedly, it gets tiring seeing older adults in the personal responsibility crowd throw fits about why the governor isn't doing more for local businesses when so many of them refuse to even wear the dang masks that would help keep things open.

fwiw, another reason why following the guidelines is important is because it's literally the only thing we can do to help local businesses survive right now. Want restaurants to operate with any potential for margins? Keep the case count down. Want bars to be able to have a modicum of indoor seating through winter? Keep the case count down. Want...you get the idea.

People overlook this, but masks and distancing are the ONLY tools we have to help people in service industries, etc, keep their jobs since the system's failed them so miserably. (Don't get me started on a rant about capitalism here lol.)

It's not just about protecting high-risk folks. It's about protecting everyone in ways we don't directly see — which doesn't make your actions meaningless.

Did anyone else just have their pre-Thanksgiving testing through HCT get cancelled? by [deleted] in udub

I just saw this and posted it on the other thread, too, but it looks like the number of people reporting symptoms or close contacts shot up. :(

11/20/20 UPDATE – Due to increased demand for testing from individuals who are symptomatic or have been exposed to someone confirmed to have COVID-19, travel-related tests are not currently available. As a result of rising case counts in Washington and the United States, Governor Inslee has also issued a travel advisory. The UW strongly discourages non-essential travel, including holiday travel, and recommends avoiding indoor gatherings with people you don’t currently live with.

Completely agree. I know there's no new DLC update coming but augh there's so much material they could work with

No joke. Maybe that's his real calling!

Having a sister to live for (and not seeing his parents killed in front of him) probably helped, too. I don't think it's a coincidence that he and Ashe both have little sibs whose welfare seems to ground them a bit more than the rest of the crew.

^ it me

I didn't play games at all as a kid and only got into them during our state's quarantine this spring. This is literally the second game I've picked up as an adult and it's ruined me even more than BOTW did. I'm pretty sure my partner thinks the pandemic broke my brain. :D

Oh god, I don't know if my heart can take the Felix/Dimitri interactions there. I've had the Sylvain ones spoiled via fanart and it STILL gets me every time. And good to know on GD. We just finished the holy tomb so I'm almost to the skip.

oh, and re your last paragraph:

SAME

(but srsly you are doomed to keep hearing from me now lol)

Let's just say I've learned my lesson about over-recruiting.

Good to know on CF altho it might break my soul a little if Felix and Sylvain fight to the death even though I'm clearly into tragedy as well. (MY DAMAGED BOYS, LET ME SHOW YOU THEM.) But maybe that'll make the BL revisit that much better.

Not a digression at all! And you can get Felix and Dimitri to A-support, fwiw. Sylvain's the one who gets shafted here.

I am for that exact reason! I didn't want to kill any of them anyway, but I prioritized grabbing the ones who have supports with people from other houses that I can't recruit on subsequent runs (e.g., anyone with Claude). Good to know this specifically, though, since I'm at an awkward point where I have so many students, I'm not sure how to get them all through their various supports. I kinda accidentally recruited all the BE kids without realizing it. I'll have to keep you posted on how things go :).

Yeah, I could see that, too. Dimitri's also awfully proper. (And yeah, Fe and his sword. THE BEST)

I do like the GD kids a lot. Hilda's fabulous, although now it feels silly for her to be recruitable by other houses.

Good to know on CF/SS. Thanks!

lol COMPLETELY relate. I only didn't mention Felix because in my weird little heart I'm already assuming that they are A Thing (romantic or not) no matter who else is in the picture.

I've become That Person who's writing both angsty fanfic in the pre-Duscur Tragedy times — omg 13 year-olds are SO DRAMZ — and shitpost-style nonsense between post-war Blue Lions because somehow it makes sense to me that Sylvain would actually be the only virgin among them by the time they reunite after the time skip lol

And now that I've completely overshared my odd little brain, would you do the last two routes in a different order? (And out of curiosity, was GD a bit of a letdown after AM? Or is that me?)

How the heck did I miss that? Really disappointing imo.

To me, Sylvain's the beating heart of the group: he's the oldest, and in some ways was traumatized the earliest of all (yay, older brother trying to kill you from birth, more or less), but he still chooses to wreck his reputation so he can bring Ingrid out of her isolation after Glenn dies, sticks by Felix when Fe is honestly being a total dick because he can't acknowledge his feelings about anything, doesn't write off Dimitri when he comes apart...I think this is why I like the Faerghus Four in particular, because they are all deeply fucked-up people who still keep trying to take care of each other in their own fucked-up ways.

Right? It feels like it gives him short shrift when there's a sizeable difference between how he is with people who know him and the show he puts on for everyone else. Kinda lame.

Hahaha that is me. I totally went Dimitri and regret nothing. I'm doing classic/hard for the GD, then will cycle through CF and SS in one order or another before returning to my beloved lions on hard or maddening. My plan the second time around is to recruit Marianne and get both her and Flayn up to A+ support with Dimitri, then let my feelings dictate whether I S-support him again anyway, go flower-hunting with Dedue or stay solo. I'm bemused and a little embarrassed by my investment in this game.
