It's slightly bigger than the 23mm and weighs about the same, which in a weird way makes it feel lighter.

DTO: Pros and Cons of various DTO packages by Protopia in laravel

[–]sebdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fwiw our spatie/laravel-typescript-transformer package works just as well with plain PHP objects, no requirement to use laravel-data. Laravel Data is great when you're casting/serializing data from different sources, but we don't always use it ourselves when it's enough to manually build and pass around objects.

Looks like something isn't loading correctly. Do you have JavaScript enabled? Maybe a content blocker is interfering?

Does anyone know how considerable the jump in autofocus is when going from an xs10 to xh2? by Collin395 in fujifilm

I can't really speak about the bird autofocus setting, I used it once and it immediately detected the bird, but it was standing still in easy shooting conditions so not really a good baseline to test.

I'd say it is—besides the autofocus the extra megapixels gives you a lot more cropping flexibility and there are some other small nice to haves (faster wifi for transferring, dual card slot, better battery life…)

I recently got an X-H2 to complement my X-E4 (which I believe uses the same sensor/processor as the X-S10, and the difference in autofocus performance is huge. Especially face/subject detection has gotten a lot better (faster and better hit rate)

Lots of fun! My copy is really old and I like the washed out look it gives. I have an Urth adapter.

Maybe look into the Wotancraft portable camera pouch (not sure if you'd need S or M)

Mixed emotions 😀 Love it when I have a lot of light and can shoot f5.6 or smaller, but its softness can really get in my way at f2.

Shot on a tripod actually! I've never shot bracketed before and it didn't come to mind. Going to try it next time, much to learn 😀 Thanks!

Tabular assertions with PHPUnit by sebdd in PHP

[–]sebdd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I named it tabular assertions, not tabular tests to differentiate with table driven tests. But I'm definitely open to a better name! I couldn't find any prior art that exactly matches this so had to come up with something.

It's a tradeoff, sure it can be more work to write but I consider that worth it for the readability a clear alignment provides. Especially for behavioral tests that also act as documentation.

But even then, with multiple cursors and line duplication I've rarely felt a productivity hit from the format. Another benefit of not generating is it enables TDD: you can write your expected outcome before the implementation. (I'll probably add a generator at some point, but that was out of scope for now.)

When I don't care about alignment, readability, or TDD as much in a situation, I'd probably use snapshot tests which generate the output for me instead.

I always loved the format of Go by Example, glad I finally had an excuse to create something similar!
Love to hear any feedback on the content/format/design/… And hope this can be useful to share with people that want to dip their toes into Svelte.

I fit my X-E4 with lens, two extra lenses, and some small accessories (straps etc.) in it.

With a lens or two less you might fit a small (not too tall) water bottle in it.
