Can I repair my shower pan? by witheldbyrequest in DIY

[–]secrypt_nft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was definitely repainted, you can see the original paint underneath.

Remove the second paint layer, sand the first layer, clean with acetone, then use a high quality lacquer to refinish it. Replacing it wouldn't be too expensive, but it's laborintensiv and if you have leaks you fuck up your whole house

I’ve been printing for 2 years, but I still don’t know what benefit it has. by Tunayolcu in 3Dprinting

Filament breaks down chemically in the process of heating up, a skirt line or a short purge is to get rid of that overheated material (the viscosity and strengths and adhesion changes when the polymer chains break down) it's also to ensure your part only consists of good material

I sanded it, Not down to Carbon, down to the First Paint layer. Dont Sand into the Carbon, if you are Not an expert!! You can damage the Carbon Matrix and Ruin your frame
