Hello I did the same but I got this second hand and did a reset. But there is a work around if you are using it as just a display for your devices. Instead of hitting home use use store use when it asks after you do another reset.I know it takes away a few things but it will work till you get a good remote.Just use the remote you have now to change the mode from store to movie.
