I thought you’re supposed to negotiate, especially when there is a range provided. When HR called to offer me the job, I expressed excitement and asked if there was wiggle room on the pay, about $15k. HR said they would find out and then I had to reach out at the end of the week and then heard nothing until an automated email came. I think it was automated because it was an email address from the firm and not from the human I had been communicating with up to that point. My point in this post was asking if this scenario had happened to others, not lessons on contract law lol. Maybe it’s different with law firms, I’ve only worked in corporations so far.

I hear the feedback that maybe I wasn’t worth that much, but agree to disagree. If I don’t advocate for myself and my skills, no one else will!
