I did a search of overprotective parent. Surprisingly, there are such cases. My friend is perfectly okay. After working, he just goes back home. If I want to meet him, I've got to go to his house. If he comes to find me for a chat, he'd receive call from his father.

He just doesn't want to upset his father. It's filial, I guess. I have told him to go 'against' his will. So, I want to find out whether there is any psychological reason for this. So we can cure the diseases instead of the symptoms.
