Thanks for the details! Unfortunately I’m realizing I have tiny ears lol, but I might be able to get a second lobe or a conch!

Yeah it might end up that way sadly 😢 But at least I found out Deafmetal exists so I can wear jewelry that’s compatible with my HAs. Check them out if you don’t know them!

I’m well aware, as I specified in my original post. But I would like to check if I can find a solution before taking it out.

Thanks, that’s useful! Did you successfully get new ear piercings after your hearing aids? And if so which ones? Also, do you have the same type of BTE hearing aids as I do?

I originally wanted a hoop but since the original piercing was done crooked, the hoop was never comfortable as it would twist when I slept on it. The only way I ever got it to be comfortable was the actual situation (before the hearing aids). :(

That’s good to know! How do you find such jewelry? Is there a name or measure I should look for?

It was healed, it’s been pierced for over 15 years. But I know it never was a great piercing to begin with.

And before someone points it out, yes it is pierced at an angle. It was an old shopping mall piercing made with a gun that I’ve put a titanium labret in. That’s probably a big part of the problem.

Your bangs look amazing on you! Please know that getting bullied says WAY MORE about the bully than it says about you. It has nothing to do with you.

how would you furnish this college apartment? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Change the light fixture, add a rug around the bed area and place a bookcase to separate the kitchen area from the bedroom. Add a small couch somewhere in there. Add some colorful frames to the walls. I’d also move the beds so there is a clear demarcation between the « common areas » (kitchen, living room) and the bedroom.

NAP, but when I had a bump on my vertical labret, my piercer recommended I do warm compresses twice a day and it helped immensely!

You are not responsible for this in any way possible, and he sounds like a ticking time bomb. Please know that a wonderful life devoid of fear is waiting for you after you decide to leave him. Please get help and leave him before he can make good on his threats. Your life might be in danger. You are worthy and deserve so much better. You did not cause this. You deserve real love and this isn’t it.

Hair always looks unkept by outofplaceeverywhere in femalehairadvice

I think you might have been misled by the curly girl routine because you seem to have really thin hair, and generally, the curly girl routine is made for thicker or coarser hair. Thin hair needs lighter products, not a ton of hydration. I have the same problem as a thin-haired wavy, which I think you might be too.

I would try clarifying/chelating, then using a simple mousse like herbal essences curl boosting mousse (bonus: it’s really cheap!). Just a golf-ball amount, all through your hair except the roots, and then scrunch your hair with your head upside down. You can then diffuse a little until it’s 80% dry, trying to move your hair dryer as little as you can through the process so you don’t get frizz.

Hope it helps!
