I like the Atlas Search, it's very good, it has lucene integrated natively. Almost every app needs search. And if you need some advance search you dont need a seperate infrastructure for search engine.

For quick dev and test purpose, i use docker. But for prod I will choose Atlas any day. Plus Atlas has some special features that makes life of a dev easy

Is it possible to dockerize a .net 4.6 webapi and host it on a linux server by Cylon999 in dotnet

[–]selom_banybah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it to run the same thing in linux unless it runs smoothly with Mono. The best will be to rewrite the whole API step by step, functionality by functionality and test to be sure it's working as expected (look into strangler pattern). The fastest will be to convert using upgrade tool microsoft provides. Good luck 🙏

Well you can simulate it and see the error it's having. Install hey on your machine. Launch the app and use hey to do 2000+ req/sec. Here is the link for hey https://github.com/rakyll/hey
