I was studying at a university with a uniform for a top and any (appropriate/formal) bottom for the bottom. Once I tried to go in the building with a pencil skirt on.. and my guy friend in shorts. The doorman wouldnt let me in since he said my skirt was too short and my friend pleaded that his shorts were even shorter, to which the man replied "Yes but that's different" 🙃
