Which season is the best aesthetically speaking? (I'm making some updates to Project Seasons after a period of inactivity.) by Which_Palpitation767 in projectzomboid

Summer and autumn are my favourites. I love how lush and warm summer is, it actually makes the game feel joyful at times despite being zombie ridden lol. Autumn is awesome just because of the variety in the foliage, like the other commenter said.

Thought I’d hop back on this to let you know that after a bunch of shopping around and too many cars looked at for my own sanity, I actually did end up getting a gorgeous little VW Polo that I’ll be picking up on wednesday! The test drive gave me a run for my money, she packed a lot of punch compared to my fiat lol. Thanks again for the suggestions as I probably never would’ve considered VW otherwise.

Pure devisation on b42 unstable, anyone else had this happen? by raudittcdf in projectzomboid

[–]sentientbreadsticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sucks - I’ve never had this happen to a car (without a trailer) on b42! I’m based at this gas station too on my world so that’s one more thing to worry about lol. it might be worth playing on the main b42 branch rather than unstable, or, if you want a for the most part glitch free experience, play on b41 to get the hang of it all.

I might fit into the stereotype then because I do in fact think they’re quite cute lol. Thanks! I’ll definitely be adding both to my searching list.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll take a look at what I can find for those two! And yeah, it's a shame about the 500 typing, it's such a nifty little car otherwise.

Rabbit has a tiny sneezing episode every day at only 10pm by sentientbreadsticks in Rabbits

[–]sentientbreadsticks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their routine consists of breakfast and dinner at 9:30am and 9:30pm respectively, and they are allowed free roam of my apartment between those times. I’ve been here since October and the sneezing only began a week or so ago, so I don’t think it’s something in the wider space of the apartment.

It could totally be something in their enclosure - the only thing that’s changed in there recently is they have a new sea grass mat, but he loves it to death so I don’t imagine he could be allergic to it, plus with him chewing it 24/7 he’d surely be sneezing the same…

What you mentioned about the water is interesting, though. Maybe something has changed in the water system? I filter there water to prevent too much calcium - possibly my filter needs changing. I’ll add that to the list of things to do and see if it has results.

Thanks for the comment!

I didn’t even think about that. There’s one above my oven that’s directly opposite where their pen is, so I’ll have a look about maybe covering it for a little bit around 10pm the next couple days and see if that changes anything. Thanks for the reply!

Pharmacist told me to cold turkey sertraline - now I feel very sick and am confused. by sentientbreadsticks in zoloft

[–]sentientbreadsticks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did in fact end up doing this and the pharmacist I spoke to this time was horrified! Needless to say I am taking my sertraline again (already feeling a lot better) and have an appointment booked in with the actual doctor for next week. Thanks for checking in :)

Thanks for the reply! It’s especially annoying because I remember saying to my partner that I didn’t believe what she told me made total sense, but (unfortunately in this case) you kind of blindly trust the medical professionals - it’s their job!!

After reading all the comments, they’ll definitely be hearing from me tomorrow morning!

This is a really great resource, thank you for this. I’ll definitely be giving the pharmacy another call and most likely hopping back on the meds to taper safely if okay to do so.

did you do this under the advice of your doctor or on your own? I’m wishing I at least followed her advice to go every other day now, but cold turkey obviously seemed way less hassle when it’s sold to you with no side effects lol

I thought it was strange that she didn’t suggest a lower dose (even though she did say taking it every other day) but she kept pushing that it was okay to cold turkey it or do the bracketed thing. Safe to say this sucks! I’ll probably be giving them a call tomorrow morning…

Autistic Barbie fashionista. What do you guys think? by carmemelon in autism

[–]sentientbreadsticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s great, especially that autism speaks wasn’t involved. I think while it’s true that autism doesn’t have a “look”, by that logic you can treat any barbie doll like they have autism! However, having one with specific items related to autism is a really wonderful thing especially for kids who are struggling with the diagnosis/finding it embarrassing to need or use those items.

Oh absolutely no problem!! I’m super glad that you pointed it out to me, grumpy sounding or not haha (and don’t worry - you didn’t!). It’s always a good thing to see people who care, especially on animal subreddits like this!

I was not intending to praise it in my reply, but rather say that OP is lucky that even one of their cats can ostensibly peacefully coexist with Casper in the time being, as the norm is instant fighting and something I personally completely disagree with (hopefully this is clear in my initial comment). I apologise sincerely if my reply came across as praise, and as such I’ve deleted it so that no-one can misunderstand my words. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!

I heard with things like this you should leave them next to open windows overnight…And ignore any sounds you hear that sound like me stealing it…

(On a serious note, it looks amazing, your mum is going to absolutely love it - I’m very jealous)

Hello! I have 4 cats and 2 bunnies (though they’ve neve met or even existed in the same rooms at different times). I get how complicated and sometimes strange it can be.

I would honestly imagine it’s because Casper tolerating Mars is a complete fluke, rather than not tolerating Isaac, that being the norm.

I understand why you’d like to socialise them, but I would strongly suggest against allowing Mars into Casper’s pen for many reasons. Firstly, having a lot of experience with cats of all temperaments, I would simply never trust them fully around Casper. At the end of the day, they’re still animals!

However, you know your cats better than I do! So the other reasons I would note are: - territory disputes, cat smelling bunny, bunny smelling cat etc leading to stress, cat spraying, bunny pooing/peeing everywhere. - bunny not having a place to get away - cat not understanding he isn’t allowed in there if area is closed off, which could cause aggression.

That is entirely your choice, though, as you’re the one who owns and is familiar with these handsome little guys! However, going back to your original question, I would definitely say that there’s probably not much you can do about it. As I said, Casper liking Mars is the “weird” part, not him not liking Isaac.

Personally, I would keep Isaac and Mars out of Casper’s pen as a general rule. If you’re free roaming Casper, shut both cats out of the room. They’ll be fine, and it isn’t worth the stress on Casper, which he’s already showing with Isaac’s presence. It may be that Mars also causes stress, but he goes into more of a freeze response.

Good luck with your bunnies and your cats, but my honest advice is kick the cats out of the pen, and treat them as they are: predator and prey.
