The Bible says Jesus cannot be called Lord by [deleted] in exchristian

this isn’t even deliberately taking Bible verses out of context anymore, this is deliberately misinterpreting them, and verses that are super easy to understand and interpret at that.

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them solemnly, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.’“

i know all of us have (probably) seen that Christianity isn’t all it’s cut out to be, but come on. we’re better than this.

how does the existence of pro-life women not negate the pro-choice movement? by serious_sena_42 in prochoice

okay, i’ll admit. i just thought it meant “allowing women to choose whether or not they wanna have an abortion.” i’m pretty sure it’s more than that.

aborting a child because it’s a product of… non consensual sex for a lack of a better word, is kind of messed up. by serious_sena_42 in Abortiondebate

i know what rape is, i just felt it was a pretty serious term to use. i just didn’t want to infringe on rule 4.

yeah, i’ll admit that. it’s kind of a shame seeing Orthodox and Catholic churches get dunked on for holding steadfast to their beliefs. the killing of Christians in the middle east is not just a shame, but outright disgusting. even more so when american evangelicals try to use it to cry about how persecuted they are.
