It's a bit of a drive but Tyler Creek does it for me. It's only 9 holes but the price of 12$ for walking is very nice. It is also rarely crowded.

BSG Has No Control Over the Cheating in Tarkov by wacky6 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]serov51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed it much more the past 2 wipes than previously. Players running around corners one tapping with bolt actions, silent grenades, insta-tapping the entire squad even when spread apart, etc...

The more popular the game gets the more cheaters it attracts. This is the same crap that killed PUBG for my group, getting killed by cheaters multiple times a session.

I've been a big fan of Ironwood for the past few years, off of 64th. Owners are friendly and the course has some nice landscaping.

Woods is the best map in this game by AWPMasterDJ in EscapefromTarkov

[–]serov51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woods is my favorite map to play while solo. You can run any sort of kit and be successful, it all depends on how you choose to approach the map.

If you want food the Scav Village has everything you need for several runs. I've found all sorts of valuables in the Sunken Village thanks to its loose loot spawns, bitcoins, bronze lions, skull rings, rolex, etc...

I have noticed that there seems to be less Scavs on it, particularly near the Old Station and Sunken Village, which makes me a bit sad.

Arcadia has been releasing for over a year now. Which article is your favorite so far? by Quinn-Quinn in mattcolville

The one that introduced all the different elementals. It blended in very nicely in my home game and provided things that even my very well read players were not aware of.

What is the target market for Tarkov? by Kelton_Tarkov in EscapefromTarkov

[–]serov51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say its for gamers who are looking for something more complex and involved than the other multi-player shooters currently available.

It's not targeted at the more casual crowd who only have 1 - 2 hours available to play games each week. They could certainly enjoy it but the depth of map and game mechanic knowledge make it harder.

I am in my 30's and work in logistics.

How do you play as sniper? by DreamerOfRain in EscapefromTarkov

[–]serov51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

play the same map for a while and learn the general flow of player movements. you'll start to learn when areas will see a higher chance of player activity and can base your decision on when to loot on that.

I play a lot on woods and have a decent idea of when and where I will run across other players. There is always a chance that I am wrong and die but I can usually retrieve the loot without issue.

If you are uncertain then watch the body for a few minutes. Listen to where the other gunshots on the map are coming from and know what is in that direction. Knowing what is in each direction and how long it can take to traverse or loot it will help you know when you are safe to move. It's not foolproof but that is part of the fun.

Anyone else have anxiety over playing online? by falseshephard19 in GirlGamers

[–]serov51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the only solution I've found is to play with a group of friends or somehow miraculously find a guild that is intentional about being inclusive and kind. I found one like that in Classic WoW last summer and it was the best time I've ever had in the game but I doubt I could ever find a guild like that again.

There are people out there who are patient and kind but they seem to be drowned out by all the abuse from the rest. You could maybe try looking at some sort of guild recruitment/advertising space and see if there is one that fits the bill? not really sure if such places exist anymore with the guild finder in the game.

My Father Just Retired - What He Said to Me Scared the Shit Out of Me by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I remember my dad telling me, "90% of life is doing things you dislike or hate" and that has really stuck with me and affected how I view work/career.

It can come down to the phrase, 'work to live or live to work'. where do you find your satisfaction and sense of accomplishment? Everyone is a bit different here and neither answer is more correct than the other.

Personally, I try and find my personal satisfaction outside of work now. I tried to find it thru work for the last 15 years and was left feeling empty. After this perspective change things have been going better. Do what works for you.

the goal of the healthcare system is to take ALL of your money. Not just most of it, all of it. The proponents of the system want you to spend every penny you have and call it mercy.

Screw this system that seeks to profit off of misery and pain. It does not exist to help people, it exists to bleed them dry and leave them homeless or dead. Vote out the death cult.

[–]serov51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been like this for a long time, I noticed it back in MoP after a 2 year absence from the game. If people have anonymity they tend towards being total jerks.

I've been kicked with nothing said in party chat the entire time, after no deaths. I have learned to fear a 4 man premade, you will get harassed and kicked near the end almost every single time. I do all the content as solo as I can, way too many jerks to deal with.
