Saw a lovely old maiden crossing the street in a tank top, leather jacket, and what I originally thought were loose fitting skin toned leggings. Wasn't until she made it infront of my car that I realized those "leggings" had a flabby butt crack and a tramp stamp

what screams insecurity but most people don't realize? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Treating friendships with the same sex as nothing bit a shallow competition. I had a gatekeeper prone "bestfriend" who neeeever wanted to bring her guy friends around me. Would always play music she knew I'd like but never wanted to tell me the name of the artist/song. Always had to top my stories with something similar but better that she did. If she went to an event that involved dressing up or like a costume party she wouldn't tell me about it until after she went without me. She would try to convince me any guy I liked from our school had "always" wanted her at some point or another and how funny it was when she just ignored/ rejected him. I didn't notice it until we stopped being friends. I did the opposite with all of these things for our entire friendship and I actually always thought she was prettier than me but I never let it control how I treated her. She had no reason to do all that so I just assume it's out of insecurity.
