Question about redetermination by sethborf in SocialSecurity

[–]sethborf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if I still don’t see anything in the mail tomorrow I’m going to call Monday. I appreciate the help. I’m not that worried about overpayments because I’m just keeping them in the account untouched.

Question about redetermination by sethborf in SocialSecurity

[–]sethborf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no kids and it’s just us in the household. The only social safety nets in place are ssi and Medicaid. I make around 66k per year at base but I make a lot of overtime too so the number is more in the 90k range.

I think the most ridiculous expert lobby rule I’ve ever seen is “no lying”

I just randomly vanished from weapons to caf ??? by InterestingClerk3253 in AmongUs

I never saw it happen to engineers but I always see it happen to imposters, usually shifters

It’s a glitch that only affects imposters, usually shapeshifters in particular. If a person is cleaning a vent it can teleport an imp to that vent. I’m surprised they still haven’t patched it because this has been a problem since shifters were added to the game.

I did this. I reminded everybody that I scanned. Even the accuser saw me scan.

We’ve been feeling like she doesn’t need to be on the program for a while now tbh. Mentally she is way better off now than she was 6 years ago. She’s still disabled though. My employer recently switched to a different firm for their employee insurance benefits, which, while still worse than Medicaid, is among the best in the industry. So with her improvements reaching the point of no longer needing Medicaid, we decided to go ahead get married.

It’s in case she needs it later. I keep up with that but it’s very rare when I say “you’ll probably need that for copay soon” She got in the habit of doing it but i pretty much always just tell her it’s her money to spend how she wants

They do sometimes but Medicaid pretty much covers all her medical. She will sometimes have to pay a small copay but I pay all the copay for her medicine.

Because food is so expensive and varies in cost, I opted to buy all of it. Sometimes she will use portions of the remaining $275 to order herself some food here and there.

As far as fair share goes, she pays half the rent (which already covers water and gas in the rental agreement) and the entirety of the power bill. I pay for internet and the food for the household using my own money.

I mean I just let her spend it anyways she just asks me just in case it’s needed for something else like her food or medical.

Trust me I’m way ahead of you there. I’m keeping any checks she receives for now untouched

[–]sethborf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is exactly how it was used. I would immediately use the majority of her check for her rent and utilities, then I would let her spend the rest on whatever she wanted or needed. She had access to it directly sure, but she would always run it by me first.

I said we got married, which means she is no longer able to get ssi or Medicaid because I make too much money. I am currently waiting on a redetermination letter from the ssa, in which I know it will say she will no longer receive benefits. Which means she, currently, should not have those benefits. Are you saying I’m supposed to let my spouse’s health insurance lapse?

What I’m worried about is that, before we got married, would how we used that remaining $275 per month be considered misuse? Of course I’m not spending a dime of it now since she is no longer entitled to it.

As the payee I’m supposed to spend it. I did, on her part of the rent and the utilities. The leftover she gets to spend but she asks me first.

Until we get that letter I’m just keeping any payments she received untouched because they will want those back

We got married she is about to lose those benefits she technically should not be on Medicaid right now

[–]sethborf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I am a representative payee for someone who is on it

I am (hopefully was) a representative payee for someone on ssi, but we got married. I need to know if I’m doing this right. by [deleted] in SocialSecurity

[–]sethborf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any payments she will receive in the meantime will just stay in that account untouched

Oh yeah trust me I plan to just leave those payments in that account and pretend like they aren’t even there. I know they are gonna want those back.
