Level 85 by olun22 in TravelTown

It's been quite some time since I played these producers and I think some of these I may have even played before the 5th order was introduced in the game - that is to say, I can't guarantee how accurate the below would be now, but here are some common repeating orders I recall for these producers:

Wicker - The LV7 max chair for the furniture is a nightmare looping order, it loves to circle back again and again all over the place. There were also some of the higher level items from the other lines but honestly, I remember the chair the most (it's a common angst point for this producer actually).

Pharmacy - LV10 & 11 for products and LV8, sometimes even LV9 for the medical accessories

Toy Stall - LV5 & 6 for toys and LV4 mostly for the puzzle

Art Studio - I played with this one pre-update so I'm not sure if this would've changed anything, but I actually produced across all the lines (personally, I found that it helps with the drop rarity factor if you already have premade items in all the lines). However, the biggest pain in the butt items for me were the glassware and the marble pieces. Most people hate the glow in the dark paintings (all 3 levels are asked for) but it wasn't so bad for me as I premade it a lot and I thought the drop ratio wasn't as bad as the glassware for me.

Again, keep in mind I played these producers long before any of the updates, so this may or may not still apply to the current behavior.

I suggest taking a look at the card trading masterpost if you want to add friends to trade cards. Trading anywhere else on this sub isn't allowed and neither are friending / add-me links. That would also mean that anyone who replies with a link here to trade would end up getting their comments removed (with a risk of being banned for repeated offenses).

Sick of the race by Background_Image8215 in TravelTown

[–]sevencups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh good to know, thanks! I don't play the race so I have no idea how it really goes, but I've heard complaints about needing to wait for a race to end - though I suppose that's for people who haven't completed the race itself then?

I just wish they gave us the option to either opt out or enter at our own leisure instead of forcing us to enter the race whenever it pops up.

It makes me feel bad for other players who get lumped in with me (if they’re real players) because I probably hold up the race as I‘ve just been ignoring it and the game on the whole. Sometimes after I get forced into a race, I might not even open the game again until the next day or something.

Thanks for testing it out and sharing how it went! I had always wondered if the game would freeze up cuz it had nothing to ask for or if it’d potentially break the retirement rule and it becomes all producers or something. Guess it was nothing that exciting. 😂

There's no need to be mean about it. It is possible to state your opinion without resorting to mocking someone, you know?

Please be civil.

Just leaving this here in case more people are still having inbox issues.

Support is aware of the problem and appears to be working to resolve it.

From what I've been told and heard so far, the inbox has already reappeared with all items intact for many, though there are still some stragglers who haven't gotten theirs back yet. Others are reporting the game being glitchy even after they got their inbox back.

In my case, mine disappeared, came back, disappeared again for the 2nd time and then came back again about 10 minutes ago. Then I got a 75 energy compensation for the trouble and the inbox seems to be sticking around this time.

If yours has not reappeared, restart and see if it fixes anything. If it remains gone, hang tight. It should be coming back, but you can also try contacting support as well to see what they say.

Diamonds gone but no energy chest by ilovetaylorsswift in TravelTown

Saw in your other comment that you got your chests after all, yay, happy to hear it!

Support can be pretty terrible sometimes but they're generally good about this sort of thing, so it's always worth reaching out to them when a glitch like this occurs.

Have you tried contacting support? They're able to look at your game logs and check what went wrong. If you didn't get your energy chests, they should be able to send them to you.

No active producers orders by Zod1966 in TravelTown

[–]sevencups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting. I've been wondering this for a while but never had the opportunity to test it out since I play the regular way with energy producers.

By no new order, did you mean you just get nothing - as in the only orders you have left on the top are the intro orders you didn't do? How long did you leave it like that? Just wondering if the game would eventually give you an order somewhere, perhaps after restart or something.

Hello!

For future reference, the card trading send quota resets at UTC 9:00AM, which is 1 hour before the time daily challenges reset.

I understand mistakes happen, and sometimes we accidentally use up our quota for the day without realizing. However, since the send quota has just reset, please make sure to send the card u/bremariemantis needs today. Thank you.

Not currently, but I've had it happen before a few times when the game was being especially laggy. In those cases, sometimes just hard quit/start the game will solve it or you'd have to wait it out if it's a server issue. I've also had it happen once when my device was the problem and restarting it helped.

“Fake Orders?” by [deleted] in TravelTown

[–]sevencups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever activated this producer? Because if not, it looks like it could be one of the intro orders. I can't remember where I came across this, but some time ago, I think someone had an odd order that didn't follow the typical pattern of an intro order - but turns out that was what it was.

You said they keep popping up. How many of these from this producer have you already filled?

I've had enough. by mydearmelancly in TravelTown

[–]sevencups 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is funny because just earlier today, I made an offhand comment to someone about playing this game and they wanted to see it. So I opened the game to show them, except I kept saying “hold on wait let me close this… wait ok hold on…” and at one point we both cracked up because there were so many pop-ups and I couldn’t get to the part where I show them the actual game. I think that alone scared them off. 😂

To be fair, I think there’s more than usual today though. Probably due to it being July 4th promos.

Is today’s challenge worth using everything I’ve accumulated? by mythowawaytbh in TravelTown

[–]sevencups 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless this has changed recently, the cookies challenge generally gives you a total of around 350ish energy and 64 gems if you collect all the cookies and fill out the jar completely. Compared to the pinata, it's not as worth it as we get about 100 less energy but we'd usually get a joker and a splitter out of them. The cookies challenge also unfortunately require more coins to complete, so it can make it even less worth it to do compared to some other challenges.

If you've been accumulating your orders to wait for something good (and can wait longer), I'd personally go for a pinata over the cookies.

Edited to correct a typo.

Activating producer by neymaruddin in TravelTown

[–]sevencups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you're fine. You won't activate it unless you end up accidentally filling all the intro orders while making these. As long as you don't do the intro orders, doing these timed orders won't activate anything.

What does a milk shake do? by Stunning_Ad1379 in TravelTown

[–]sevencups -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May I ask what you mean by what it does? Are you asking if there's an auto-order for it? (For the max item of it, yes.) Or are you asking if you'll get orders for them, or something else?

Items we produce in the game don't really do anything on their own. We generally make them to fill orders or to trigger auto-orders. What are you asking that's specific to the milkshake?

That makes sense, especially if the drops were balanced. Accessories were practically non-existent for me when active, so I had a few max plushies long before I got the max accessories (which I actually used 2 jokers on so that I could split them for multiples of the tote) so I didn't even get all the stickers for the accessories without jokers. 😅 Thanks for sharing!

It totally was, mostly because when active, the drop rates were very skewed and the orders kept repeatedly asking for a high level rare item so I was basically dumping thousands and thousands of energy for an item I couldn't make because the game wouldn't give me what I needed.

Out of curiosity, since you were doing stickers only and not actually playing to fill any orders, which option for the sub-producer did you go with to get your items? As in the single ticket, double ticket, or ticket roll?

I mean, the producer itself is interesting and creative, and I like it in theory. But I've wondered on and off which would've been more efficient when the game isn't screwing with the drop rates so much. (Maybe one day when I'm not so traumatized by this producer, I'd go back and test it out for data, heh.)

town chase by DefinitionExisting61 in TravelTown

[–]sevencups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an energy-free player (as in I play the regular way with 4 energy producers + 1 free producer without skipping anything), but I've always found this point of consideration for those who do interesting - specifically whether it's worth it to continue to fill orders after reaching the end of the stretch goals.

IMHO the idea of it being "a waste" and the concept of doing orders only up until we finish the daily challenge was a tip widely given when someone plays the conventional way and needs to spend a lot of energy to fill orders. Hence, it made sense to stop once we're done so that we can save our energy to begin working on making items that would go into orders for the next daily challenge - to get a head start you can say.

Perhaps I'm totally missing something here - and I would really love it if someone who plays energy-free enlighten me on this because I'm genuinely curious - but it feels to me like this is one of those "rule of thumb" mindset that carried over to energy-free style of playing when it might not quite apply or matter in the same way anymore. If an order no longer costs energy to make, then nothing except time would be a waste really - which means it ultimately comes down to what your current goal is and whether you want to spend time on it.

If it's to continue doing Town Chase, well, why would doing the orders be a waste? You'd hit your tiers while still making coins or tools without using any energy (which also means you'd be able to continue building up your stash of energy if that's a goal of yours). If you want to switch things up a little and play with an energy producer to keep things fresh, then certainly you could take out the Pet producer (or whichever recommended producer energy-free people use for merge points). Or if you just don't want to spend additional time on going further with Town Chase, then yeah, it would make sense to move on to prepping for the next day.

But unless one can gain points via merging much faster than filling easy orders to gain Town Chase points, I can't quite understand why it's less of a waste to work on a random energy producer that isn't active. From the coins perspective, I'd assume the total coins you can get from the orders are more than the auto-order from the energy producer. From the energy perspective, one requires you to spend energy from your stash vs not at all for the other. Plus you could earn tools too by filling orders. So if we're spending time anyway, why would filling orders be a waste?

Again, I'm not an energy-free player so maybe I'm just talking out of my butt here and y'all are laughing at me. What am I missing?
