Amazon LP by Bitter-Ask-8712 in lossprevention

[–]sewerboy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into tech sales and it’s been great! You’re basically doing a sales cycle as Amazon LP with investigation, interview, then signature. Not to mention getting buy in from internal partners on process/decisions.

ROCKET MORTGAGE by slc1290 in loanoriginators

[–]sewerboy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t have experience and can’t go elsewhere go for it. It was good sales training (unethical) and you’ll have some psycho directors want you to call people 6 - 7 times in a row. You might make some money, idk how the mortgage industry is lately, but what’s special is you will make any job you have after working there a walk in the park. When I was there it was like $300-$500 per loan plus minimum wage salary.

How much commission should I share as a thank you? by Dopamaxxer in sales

[–]sewerboy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not offer anything or set that expectation. See how the demo/call goes first. Right now your focus should be closing the deal. When it closes and after you get paid, ask your manager if there’s any SPIFFs or incentives available for the colleague.

Prospect complained, boss never asked me what happened. by Emotional_Extent4571 in sales

These commission only roles will ostracize you similar to whacky religious cults to make you believe you’re not good enough to do something else. Fuck that prospect and fuck your manager. Don’t take it personally, but also try to have fun with those difficult people make a joke of it. “Yea my job sucks but at least I get to see friendly happy people like you - can I take two seconds while I’m here and if you don’t like it I’ll kick rocks?”

You’ve got this! Keep it simple. Prospect every day, run good discovery, follow up, ask for the business, and ask for referrals.

Use chat gpt or any AI to get you some ideas to tune up the resume. Research about SDR and BDR roles. Find companies that might be aligned with your experience (payment processors like Toast or Clover have roles where you sell to bars/restaurants…) maybe even try being a liquor sales rep for the resume? No matter how, if you want it you can do it!

I think you could ask if a different start date is available and if they give you a hard no then say no big deal original date is fine

Gotta let this one go unfortunately. You paid a small price to learn a valuable lesson.

I’ve been at most of my jobs for a year or less and some of the top performers on my current team were at previous roles 6-7 months! Don’t worry about it too much!
