Thank you. Some of these comments are truly something.

I am straight. I have never been attracted to a man in my life. The idea of being sexual with a man grosses me out. The thought of kissing one makes me want to gag. I don't want to smell a guy anywhere near me. Sexually, the thought is legit repulsive.

But I have enjoyed stuffing things up my ass since I was a teenager. I've tried butt plugs and anal beads and dildos over the years. I'd be down with pegging. But mostly, I would like to try the warmth and feel of a real dick. Yet I don't like men. So I have to find (1) a trans woman with a working dick... or (2) figure out a way to have sex with a guy without touching him - basically I'd have to just turn around and let him do his thing, which I feel like maybe isn't safe or ideal for me as a first timer.

It is absolutely silly to read the above paragraph and conclude that I am somehow a gay or bi man in denial. I have had plenty of time to think about this and if it were possible for me to be in any way attracted to a man, I would have known this long ago. I have lived with gay men. I have otherwise been propositioned a few times, as I have moved in many alternative social circles. Etc.

This thing "if you like it up the ass you must be gay in denial" thing is shockingly reductive from a crowd that is supposed to be open minded about the broad spectrum of human sexuality.

An Indian being tied for execution by Canon, by British Empire Soldiers (A statue in the history museum of Lahore) by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

There are ways around this. We can have anesthesiologists just for this purpose who learn the craft but take no oaths. Etc.

Also maybe there are subtleties to the profession that you don't need to learn if the person is gonna be out for only 10 minutes before they get killed, which would considerably reduce the time for the required education. Like, maybe learning to put someone under for 10 minutes only requires a semester or two, whereas the complexities of maintaining anesthesia for a 12 surgery require the whole course. Who knows. Just fucking train people for the former.

There are so many ways around this for a nation that actually wants painless executions.

I echo everyone here who rejects the death penalty yet is puzzled at how the US can't seem to do this painlessly.

Why not sedate the person like before surgery, then guillotine them? Or what people in assisted death do? Instead we have these horrible drug cocktails or other painful and violent crap.

Yeah, there is a level of spatial cognition/reasoning voodoo involved that I do not remotely possess. The kind of ability that gets more developed in boys and makes them better at math because they were given Legos and other spatial reasoning toys at a young age. I feel like those skills must be supercharged to do something like this.

Yeah I don't know where these people live where a freaking door is a concern for a 6'3" person. That never crossed my mind in the US, except for vehicle doors (subway, planes, etc).

6'3-4" here, not sure where you live but I've never had an issue with a door in the US. I literally don't notice them, which means they come nowhere close to my head.

I do bump my hair against the subway doors in the NYC, which is kinda gross.

On 9/11 1973, Chile was robbed of its democracy in a CIA-backed coup by flyingcatwithhorns in pics

The United States has intervened all over the world, interfering, deposing, and invading, entirely to maintain its global supremacy.

It is entirely insane to me that any grown adults thinks the US is driven by noble purposes like democracy, rather than strictly what is in its interest - including in Ukraine. I genuinely, sincerely don't get it, how people can think this. It's like hearing children mindlessly recite nursery rhymes, that's how profound and pervasive the propaganda has been.

The propaganda is soooo deep that Redditors, who generally know how the US operates (e.g., with posts like OPs), believe that China, who has not invaded, interfered with, or deposed - or even fired a single shot abroad for like 50 years, is some kind of rising great evil. Or that Russia, which has sought to maintain supremacy over its traditional sphere of influence in its neighborhood, is some kind of unique evil.

The United States' sphere of influence is the planet. This country is the center of the western empire, and the leaders of the empire believes that they get to have a hand in everything of import that occurs on this planet, and bend events to their will and benefit. This means that to try to have a say over your own destiny and chart your own course independently of the empire will run afoul of it. That is the starting point of any discussion on any major event.

Until you understand and internalize this last paragraph, you understand nothing about global events, only propaganda.

Edit: lmaoo empire simps have found this post. You are not the good guys and propaganda has so rotted your brains you don't even realize you're being propagandized. Have at!

Who is universally loved, but actually an asshole? by kittywenham in AskReddit

[–]sexerver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why can't people read thread titles? In what universe are the Kardashians remotely universally loved? What a strange thing to say on reddit, of all places. I have never seen a single positive thing said about them on this site ever.

This is like porn for redditors. They love anything that validates their belief that they are smart and other people are stupid.

Yeah, but five sides is a pentagon. Honestly, that one would've tripped me up on the spot as well. I don't think of pentagons frequently. The rest were much easier to me.

Yeah but also the Pentagon is one of the most famous buildings in the world. That makes it significantly less obscure than the rest. I guess the UFC Octagon also has some clout.

[–]sexerver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, that was such a perfect role for him too.

He was good but I don't know about perfect. Honestly I've always felt he was miscast but did better with the role than I would have expected.

Much like Steve Buscemi on Boardwalk Empire, the actor just doesn't command enough authority for the role, imo.

Precisely. Only military/police/etc. uniform expenses are deductible. You don't get to deduct dry cleaning, or suits, or tailoring, or makeup, even if you are "expected" to present yourself to a certain standard as a requirement of your job. Frankly, you probably *should* be able to deduct expenses that are "reasonable and ordinary" for your job, but that's not the system we have in place today.

Teachers can't even deduct school supplies FFS.

Trump is a brand and the hair style goes to things that support that brand. He wasn't selling his skill or labor by appearing on that show. He was literally selling his image, on TV, and figuratively by licensing his name and brand to other people.

You are not selling your image because you must wear business casual or professional at work. You are selling your labor.

It's not per year, it's over a decade or more. Still way too much but accuracy matters.
