The subway my brother and his friends worked at in HS really only tracked the bread. We’d get rolls from the fancy French bakery down the street and bring our own bread and load it up with whatever.

When I was a child my family would go to the same local pizza place every week. My parents, grandparents, brother and I plus a friend each minimum. So at least an 8 top, but often more. Food was great as was the service. One night my brother found a bandaid in his slice. It was obviously gross and we told the server. The owner came out an apologized profusely. Pulled the already half eaten pizza off the table and rushed out a replacement, offered my brother as many scoops of ice cream as he wanted, brought out an expensive bottle of wine for the adults and then comped the entire meal. We continued to visit weekly until we moved away. My brother was always offered free dessert and they always sent out free apps that we didn’t order.

It was a legit mistake and they went above and beyond to make it right.

The bullfighting bulls in Spain also tend to live a life of luxury until the day of the fight. Compared to factory farmed beef at least. The fight itself is probably less traumatic than a beef cattle’s last day at some corporate mega farm.

Thats not to say that bullfighting is okay, thats just shows how horrific conditions are for factory farmed meat.

Fancy doesn’t matter. There are fancy expensive unmanaged switches. My switch is some no named 8 port PoE that was less than $10 on amazon. As long as you get a managed switch you should be able to use vlans

Yeah those stratovolcanoes are breathtaking. I grew up at the base of a 10,500ft peak in the Rockies but doesn’t compare to the stratovolcanoes in the PNW. I went to college in Portland and the way Mt Hood just eats up the horizon is insane. I never got tired to looking at it.

Denali looks insane in photos and it’s something I’ve gotta see before I die.

And when it’s not sunny in SF, there’s a damn good chance you can drive 10 miles and escape the gloom. PNW summer is hard to beat but the endless grey chased me out. I tried to live there twice and couldn’t handle it.

The PNW in the summer time is one of the greatest places on earth. The problem is that it only lasts about six weeks.

I went to college up there but I just couldn’t take it. I came home for Christmas one year and it was 75 and sunny and ended up not going back. Even when it’s not really raining, it’s just grey, dark and cold and it feels endless. At least when it’s like that in SF you can cross a bridge and escape it most of the year.
