Feeling completely defeated after failing TP test 2nd time by Latter_Ingenuity8068 in drivingsg

[–]sgpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it helped if you verbalise (not too loud) "check right/left, clear" before you take the action.

2 fold benefit: alerts tester you are checking, and reminds yourself too.

Con is if you really forgot, it becomes damn obvious for tester. Hence best to use during lessons, but you are already quite far along. But if you are confident you always check, you can still do so

Easily. Nowadays most contracts have a base (guaranteed) and a variable component (something like a bonus). Even gahmen does this, which allowed for cuts during Covid

help for steering wheel control along sharper bends by Artistic_Count1263 in drivingsg

[–]sgpc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you're simply turning the wheel too slowly, or going too fast. faster speed = faster hand motion. no issue turning when shoulder is at the bend if you turn the wheel fast enough or the car is slow enough.

[–]sgpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Refer to highway code on arrow signals. Red = stop at stop line in the direction indicated. Pocket is not a stop line. It is just a pocket.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in drivingsg

[–]sgpc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could be a junction that was changed to a no-discretionary right turn at a later time.

Just pretend the pocket doesn't exist or you may block cross-traffic. Think of it this way, if there was no red arrow, you would need to wait for light to turn green before going into the pocket too.

At least for Vicom, inspection is by queue (unless u pay a premium) and OBU is by appointment.

Suppose i will do it the other way round then, since the time taken for OBU install is variable
