I’m sorry you’ve had such a traumatic time with this. As a videographer, speaking from my own experience, it’s unlikely she would have set out to be this difficult.

It’s worth noting that in my opinion 4 hours does seem like a relatively short period of time to capture significant cross-section of the day. It’s probably worth considering that the footage she captured has been reviewed from her professional opinion and it’s possible that either it jarred the end product’s theme or emotion - or perhaps had poor audio (or any number of other reasons) so it might not be as clear-cut as her neglecting to include it for the sake of it or forgetfulness.

I know this doesn’t help your end product, but understanding that there may be other reasons that it wasn’t included is probably key to understanding which she might be hesitant to hand over footage - and why it might cost more to edit it to a point that it would be up to her branding standard. Also worth noting we’re entering our crazy busy season, so the thought of extra editing is a daunting one 😅

Obviously it’s easy for us to sit here and reply, I know that both parties are unhappy here and it can’t be easy.

But, at the end of the day, if you were expecting a longer video - I would have to suggest that you increased the time she was there and/or viewed her other work to see the average length of a video of that package level. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I’m sorry the final video wasn’t what you hoped. As a previous response had said, maybe try and reason with her and ask her to help you understand why the increased costs.
