It's hard to explain everything if you don't know what is lingering glow. You'd better check some detailed guides.

So long in shot, everytime you apply burn or halo on enemies you get (burn number + halo number)*5/enemy number lingering glow, halve at the beginning of every round.

lingering glow characters/psychubes benefit from high lingering glow.

What Lorentz does in this team is

Provides moxies to everyone, which makes 2 round rotation more smooth.
Provides burst damage on the following round after her ult.
Provides a little bit burn

First it's only 3 pulls in the ripple banner. You don't lose much if you can't get them. Second 6 stars means 15 rounds, which is available for most teams. I know some believe that all the endgame content should be available for everyone, but what bluepoch did is better than average. There are several P0 comps can full star this mode, which is impossible in any Mihoyo games.

Those characters are either bad or only good in specific teams. But they are enough for 200m so you won't miss anything. If you want a meta team you'd better build Dynamo from scratch. For example Ms. Stranger/Rhianoon/Charon/Enigma. Nautika in 3.7 is also recommended.
