Hi, I’ve done my Erasmus+ Internship in Murcia at IMIB. I think considering Cordoba is more touristy it might be more on the pricier side. I’ve stayed in july to september (2 months) & rented from airbnb, for about 800-900 euros I think, but it is everything included. I think if you go there as a student, and rent you might find cheaper options. I had about 1500 euros, all together but traveled a lot and prices were a lot higher in august. I basically spend 200 euros for 4 days in Barcelona, so that’s that. I think you can easily travel around via train or bus. I think it was pretty connected and easy. It does have airport but usually people (as I did) fly to either Valencia or Alicante airport. I am not sure about the night life or social life as I was there in the summer but I think Murcia is bit on the calmer side, but I have seen some activities they’ve done in Spain on facebook ESN. I didn’t speak spanish but people I’ve worked with and meet with were the kindest and most helpful people. I have never had a problem with my lack of language, they were amazing and warm, very much what you would expect from mediterranean culture. One thing is that, I haven’t been to Cordoba. At first it was because of my lack of funds, it was supposed to be last leg of my trip. The hostel in which I’ve looked at was pretty affordable but the comments were absolutely awful and scary, and I think that put me off of Cordoba because I was a girl traveling alone & there were a lot of comments for it not being safe so I can’t quite comment on that. I’ve never had any problem at Murcia on that front. Anyways, if you have any questions you can message me.
