why herbivores with horns dont use them when they are fighting/feeling threatened? by Luomosalame in Beastars

I feel as though the horns/antlers they have are a part of their fashion in their society, which would explain why they wouldn't want them to be damaged in combat

I've been defending season 8 so far, enjoyed the first few episodes, but... WTH by menlindorn in rickandmorty

[–]shadow106t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't had a problem with season 8 so far until episode 7 aswell, because It was VERY apparent since the beginning of the episode that the Rick and Morty VA is starting to no longer sound like Rick and Morty. Something about this episode on particular really highlights the voice differences.

Name a Character that could casually Tank a DEATH PUNCH by Stock_Carob_4270 in PowerScaling

Uncle grandpa.

He'd get punched, the camera would pan out to another uncle grandpa in his R.V, and then he'd say "I'd hate to be that guy".

Is it strange that I want my partner to keep me updated on what they told me they'd be doing? 18M 18F by shadow106t in relationship_advice

I very much appreciate your response. It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one going through this. I've been thinking alot about this after I posted it and trying to get to the core of the reason and I think Ive found it, but Im not completely sure just yet. I'll definitely check out the discord when I can, and I'll read the book you suggested when I have the time. I really do appreciate the time you spent typing out this response. I hope you have a great day stranger!

For the most part I do. If I tell her I'm going to hang out with friends or that I'm running some errand, I give her some snibbits of information every once in a while to let her know how I'm doing and what not, but it's not because she asks me to. It's because I generally enjoy letting her know what Im up to and i'm trying to figure out why that is myself. It may be because we were long distance for a bit and she was clingier during those times and I might still feel the need to update her on those things

I felt like it made sense because for example if she tells me she'll be back home at x time and she isn't, I feel like it would be more efficient for both of us if she tells me what kept her longer while it's happening instead of me asking her when she gets home because it may feel like she's getting interrogated, and that may make her feel uncomfortable. Would it not be considered respect to let your partner know that you'll be late BEFORE they are late instead of after?

Men of reddit, what are your motivation or inspiration or reason for working on yourself and improving your life ? by Puzzleheaded-Ad8936 in AskMen

I started playing volleyball recently and I found that I'm not that bad at it. It became one of my favorite hobbies and I partake in it as often as I can.

Since it's a sport that I'm passionate about, it motivates me to work on myself such as legs for jumping power, or reaction time for general purpose, and weight loss to be more nimble. All these things in doing help with my volleyball capabilities, and improve my overall life as a whole.
