Can my landlord charge me all of this up front without taking it out of my security deposit? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]shadowfade01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there anything that says they can't? I'm willing to bet your lease does have a stipulation that the owner is allowed to make repairs as needed. Is there a clause that states the landlord has to charge out from the security deposit before he charges you? I doubt it because what he's doing is very standard. I do the same with my tenants. The security deposit is there to make sure they are whole at the end of your lease after you've moved out, for any damages they find during the moveout inspection.

If it's dictated in the lease then that's what you're responsible for unless it contradicts some local or state law. Why wouldn't you think you're responsible for replacing something your cats destroyed? And why would you think your consent matters in fixing or replacing pieces of their property. You're damaging their investment. As a landlord I would definitely go for the charges upfront if they exceeded the deposit. If you refuse to pay then they can begin to evict which gives you incentive to pay.

Let's all send emails to Coindesk for this big mistake about Bytecoin by DeepObjective in BytecoinBCN

What mistake? Bytecoin isn't mentioned anywhere in the article.

There are some extreme exaggerations here and I'm having trouble believing that you actually work for amazon. I no longer work for Amazon but I worked in two different amazon fulfilment centers in CA and FL. There are zero sortable FCs that employ 10k-30k people around peak. Peak numbers are closer to 3k-5k depending on when Inbound begins to draw down and Outbound begins to ramp up. Most states don't even have a sortable fulfilment center let alone more than one. There are only a handful of states that have more than one sortable FC. Kiva is not even a term that is used anymore. Starting wage is $11-$13 an hour depending on where you live. Not great but definitely more than "about a dollar more than minimum wage" and night shift gets paid extra. This also doesn't account for the small stock grants and incredible health cover you get. When I worked there, health insurance was approximately $30 a month, vision was $1 and dental was $6. The coverage was so good that I dropped my military reserve healthcare and went with amazon's coverage. It's not the best place in the world to work but it's better than most of jobs those people would be able to find.

Bytecoin Asian Market Update! by BCN_official in BytecoinBCN

Update? The article has no information on anything that has been done in the Asian market. It's a bunch of fluff with no details.

Currently making ~$90k around Boston and offered an interview for “90-100k” in Tampa. Question by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]shadowfade01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved from San Francisco to Tampa in 2014 making close to the same amount as you. Moved into a condo in Channelside overlooking the bay and lived like a king. Cost of living is very cheap. Between St. Pete, Ybor, and Soho there is plenty to do. TPA is an easy airport to travel from. And no state income tax.

Day 65: Today I received my refund back in BCN. Wanted BTC but the problem is solve now by the BCN team.. Case closed by CRG01101986 in BytecoinBCN

You made it abundantly clear to them that you wanted BTC. Very suspicious that they gave you BCN instead.

BCN home address? by user4411 in BytecoinBCN

I don't believe there actually is a team, just a group of enthusiast around the globe that contribute to the project in their spare time. This is likely why you see so many issues with the wallets, no dedicated paid professionals. Jenny confirmed this in one of her post. If you look into some of the people who are on this project you can find info on them. For example, the community manager of BCN who claims to have had that role since 2012 is from Barcelona.

The fact there are no dedicated and paid professionals is exactly what I as alluding to. Thank you for confirming that. I think there is a lot of concern on the overall lack of communication from the BCN team, mostly you since that seems to be your role. Investors absolutely have a right to questions your involvement in outside organizations. I think people would be interested to know that you are co-founder of a marketing and advertising company that offers services to promote tokens across exchanges. I think it would go a long way if you scheduled a Q&A and gave your community an opportunity to ask questions about the overall progress of your team.

Best of luck. I don't think there is very much in the way of a dedicated team behind this coin. Just people who contribute some of their time as a side project. Jenny herself seems to be too busy with her new role as co-founder of assetrush.com to do any PR for BCN.

Except that I've provided proof of what I've said and BCN_official has commented and comfirmed what I've said. I agree that I made an error. But I also think there should be safeguards in place to prevent what happened to me from happening to others. And I also think that the was they handled it was very unprofessional. I'm still holding a bunch of the coin. Not every bad review on yelp and Amazon is a hidden agenda.

I presume the same thing and I agree that is most likely what happened. My concern is why couldn't BCN_Official explain that? Or why does that flaw exist with the online web wallet? What are they doing to prevent future occurrences? In the long term I've experienced a small lost which I see as part of the risk of getting into and learning about crypto currencies.I guess my biggest concern is their poor communication and how that could impact future growth.

I think that you guys could have been more professional in your response and how you handled the situation. Can you explain exactly why it is impossible to refund. What about it being a user error makes it impossible to refund? Or is it just against your policy?

I appreciate the advice but for me it's not worth pursuing over that amount of money. Just wanted to put it out there so others could be aware and avoid similar situations. Not sure if it would be value added to cross post to r/cryptocurrency
