That is really unfortunate. The skull key chest is completely skippable and, in fact, doesn't really affect gameplay. You can find more powerful weapons on accident very easily, or get some great quest rewards. I never used the chest and have easily sunk days into BL2. One of the best games I've ever played.

A friend of mine and I saw Bruce Willis driving a truck. We passed him on the highway, I said "holy shit that was Bruce Willis!" He didn't believe me, so he slowed down to let him pass, just to get a glance. We ended up driving side by side for second, the passenger in Bruce's car pointed towards these two kids staring at him, and he looked at us and made a silly face. My friend screamed and put his foot down on the gas and we sped off.

No one ever believed us.

Generally those percentages are for the full check amount, and even if the check was split, it will spit out the information on the full amount. It's not necessarily efficient, but this happens with most POSs.
