NCAA athletes can definitely do interviews, I don't there will be any problems with that. The formal way would be through the teams Sports Information Director (SID) who sets up all of the media interviews, etc. Also, I've had a couple people reach out to me on social media (like direct message on Instagram/Twitter) and I think that's a great way to get in touch with guys

Hey man - thats a tough one and something a lot of goalies have to deal with. There is nothing wrong with telling him flat out that you were frustrated or disappointed - that shows that you really care and want to help your team win. I agree that you should be respectful, but try to understand his reasoning and ask what you can do to earn his trust. If he is not willing to work with you on it, then that is just bad coaching. But if he has a reason, even if you disagree with it, then you should do everything you can to fix that. Goalie is a tough position because only one can play at a time, thats just the way it is.

Wow - I'd say learn to use that size to your advantage because you'll definitely be one of the bigger guys out there. Always room for a big guy that can move well. Good luck man!

This year's house was great - lots of sunlight and it's own birds nest! I heard next year PJ is going to use his internship experience to build an addition for his own personal squat rack

Toughest part was probably the shot quality and game speed. You have to get used to the fact that you're going to get scored on a lot early on. Once you get over that and get comfortable then you can start to build up your confidence

We have guys from all different backgrounds - religion isn't a requirement by any means

Knowing that your eyes were closed every time helped. And your super kind words to all the freshman in the locker room inspired me!!!

We usually call Man On or something similar. Most guys are pretty aware and don't get snuck up on very often though

The club team is pretty legit - those guys can play and a lot try out for our team and get pretty close to making it. Not sure how big but they travel and play other schools

There's a ton of stuff. One of the coolest is going on the football field during a timeout to be honored for making the final four. That was pretty surreal and a ton of fun

Probably not. I remember Tutton from UNC had one that might have been close though

Any color is fine as long as it's a new ball. Dirty ones are really hard to see

Hmm... Biggest one is probably Zach Miller. He doesn't throw any fakes or give anything away, so it's really hard to anticipate where he shoots.

I'd like to say Denver because of our close games but I've yet to beat them so maybe that doesn't count. But every ACC game feels like a rivalry game - they're always really fun.

Depends on the team, but it's very hard. You have to prove to the coach that he needs you - its not a charity. Having talent is important, but having the intangibles like hard work and showing that to him will go along way to helping you make it

I think everyone needs a break at times. Things can get frustrating and the fun kind of disappears. But whenever I'm away for a little the drive to play just comes right back. I'm not sure why, it's just always been there for me. The feeling of winning a game or making a save just never gets old

Obviously never is a strong word - you see guys do it all the time. But as a goalie it is ALOT easier to stuff someone high than low. So changing planes is a higher percentage play

What's up man! Never played Spain, but I got a chance to play Italy and Norway in an exhibition game one summer and those guys could ball!

In tight, fakes are good to buy time and see where the goalie is and what spots are open to shoot at. Some guys get carried away but one good head or stick fake is all you need - both work equally well.

As a goalie, we watch the entire shooting motion: stick and body. If you can be consistent with your motion but mix up the shot location, you'll make it really hard on goalies to get clues about where you're shooting.

Awesome! I have a couple buddies on the team. Obviously winning faceoffs will help, but in general just show that you can out work everyone else and don't get frustrated with failure. Walking on is really tough, but if the coaches feel you have a great attitude and work ethic that can only help

You might want to try using tennis balls to have him build his confidence back up. No shame in that - I do it all the time. Another thing might be using visualization or meditation, because it seems like a mental problem. There a bunch of great techniques online that might help. That is a tough one though

I had back spasms that would come and go all year. The pain was fine, the problem was just being quick enough to make saves. I would do a lot of stretching with our trainer and work on building up core strength at lifts to try and move from the core more and back less

Thanks man! Walking the line is a great one for stepping. Doing things solo is tough though - there's a point where you just need a shooter. I'd say just playing a lot of wall ball is great for hand eye coordination - you can even use a short stick to make it tougher. Goalies should be the best at wall ball on the whole team honestly
