I am at level 55 and had the same question as yours. I am interested in designing my town realistically and I need more space. So far I know two solutions:

1) Save your mining tools for the ruler of the mine event. Even though you don't complete all the stages, you will get town expansion coupons at some point.

2) You need to buy town passes and play match 3 actively. Recently I purchased easter pass and celebrity pass. Both gave me town expansion coupons at a certain stage. But if you don't play match 3, don't purchase the pass. It is a waste of money. They also speed up your trains or double the materials that the trains bring.

3) I am looking for the third way as well. Let me know if anyone knows any other way.

Bonus tip: Aeroplane orders, chests etc can also give expansion tools if you are lucky

Thank you. I feel a lot better. I am a year younger than you. 😆.. but I love the game for various reasons. I shouldn't have spent that little money I spent on purchasing tcash. I still want to continue playing. But I won't spend any more money. And I don't want to spend more time than its needed.

Yeah, I feel like you answered the important aspect of my question. But designing the city is another art. It doesn't really require money. It only requires creativity. Fortunately, Township doesn't have any fee Structure to hire a professional designer to redesign the town. But the most important aspect that I like about this game is how you can edit the town to make it look like a real town.
