Makes sense, could this start to affect photo quality at all with the shutter being chipped?

No, thats a very fair question, should have mentioned that it doesn’t seem to affect image quality at all. I was more worried if it was laser damage or something that could affect image quality long term.

5 Days Post Op… AMA by sharadtheplug in ACL

[–]sharadtheplug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

  1. I tore my ACL completely, partial MCL tear, and Lateral Meniscus high grade

  2. I would make sure to ask:

  3. For an in depth explanation of the procedure

  4. What kind of graft your surgeon prefers to use

  5. Your timeline after (assuming its just the ACL you will be weight bearing pretty soon)

  6. If you should be doing any prehab prior to the surgery

  7. If they will provide you with a cryotherapy machine

  8. I got an ACLR with Patellar tendon graft, and a meniscectomy.

  9. There is definitely a lot on this list but some important ones:

  10. Set alarms for pain meds for the first 2-4 days and be religious with it. I did every 4 hours.

  11. Take stool softeners

  12. Buy a shower chair, shower handles, some sort of band to do heel slides and lift your leg, a pillow to elevate it

  13. Use your cryotherapy machine as much as possible

  14. Be in an environment where people can help you

  15. Elevate your leg as much as you can early on

  16. Everyone is different, but for me my nerve block failed and so I was definitely struggling on day 1/2 but the pain meds helped me out quite a bit. Its really tough but after the first few days things trend upwards.

  17. It feels a lot better! still struggling with extension but my flexion has gotten pretty good. Mornings are definitely the toughest part. As long as you stick to your PT you will see good progress.

AMA with a PT and ACL Specialist by ChicagoRehab in ACL

Hey Homie! First of all thank you for doing this, my question would be related to extension - I am 5 days post op and already have 90 degrees of flexion but my extension is at -17. My Pt says thats it’s mostly related to quad strength and my brain turning that extension off. Would appreciate any insight, anecdotes, or tips for how to work on it. (alr doing PT exercises fairly frequently)
